Old school customer service
We moved into a new home and needed to upgrade our locks. We called and got through to business owner Ben, rather than an AI chat or an overseas call centre.
Ben was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us great advice on upgrading our locks. He also let us know that he could assist with a new Ajax wireless alarm, CCTV system and a security screen door. I didn’t know locksmiths did all of these other services as well!
Once the job was booked in, the team arrived on time and completed the installation efficiently and professionally. They used drop sheets to protest our floors and furniture and vacuumed up after they were finished.
Handover was seamless and we were able to pay by EFT to avoid credit card fees.
I can’t recommend Macquarie Locksmiths more highly as a professional family owned business on the north shore who go the extra mile to provide old school customer service.

Reliable north shore locksmith service
I had a really positive experience with Macquarie Locksmiths. The owner, Ben, came out to help with a lock issue at my home on the North Shore. He was friendly, professional, and clearly very experienced.
Ben took the time to properly assess the situation and walked me through a few different options for replacing and upgrading the lock on my front door. I appreciated that he didn’t try to push the most expensive option. Instead, he explained the pros and cons of each solution and helped me choose the one I felt most comfortable with.
The work was done efficiently and the new lock feels much more secure. Ben also gave some helpful advice about improving the overall security of the house, which I found really valuable.
If you’re looking for a trustworthy locksmith on the North Shore, I would definitely recommend Macquarie Locksmiths. It’s great dealing with a local locksmith who genuinely cares about doing the right job and making sure the customer is happy.

Efficient and honest
Can’t recommend the Macquarie Locksmiths team highly enough. We moved into a new house and needed our locks changed. The team was friendly on the phone, knowledgeable, provided an up-front quote and completed the work efficiently and for the quoted amount. We will definitely use them again!

I would not recommend this business because it is the second time I am ripped off. I forgot, called them again. A guy named [Redacted personal identifier] spoke to me on the phone yesterday, quote was 80 dollars and something. I asked him to confirm that that was the total, since he seemed to mention some 50 extra dollars of whatever. He claimed the quality of the call was not good. I am sure it was good enough for him to get the address the first time I gave. I confirmed three times that the total was 80 and something. I had chosen his business because it was the second cheapest amongst the three I had consulted. Then the second cheapest was him. I dropped the guy who sent me a quote of 140 and something, to get him, since he was my second cheapest. A really attractive man arrived at my address, [Redacted personal identifier] , reckon also second time all of that. In the end, I had to pay about 160 for the job, what is twice the price. All [Redacted personal identifier] did was swapping the lock. Less than fifteen minutes and he had finished. I gave one hour of class to somebody the other day and they paid me less than thirty dollars. The cheapest wanted less than seventy dollars.

Emergency response runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Turnaround times for larger projects (restricted key system rollouts, master key system design, access control installation, CCTV installation): These more complex projects can generally be turned around within 1-2 weeks but sometimes faster, depending on the scope of works, our programming and availability of parts.
