Flatrate Removals

I'd twice asked for quote for supplied list of stuff before day of move but not got one. But a neighbour recommended so I did not cancel. On the morning they said $120 per hour for two men and truck, plus another $90 to move piano. They worked quite well but at end charged me for 3 hours work when it was 2.5 hours. Came to $495 for my small, easy job, moving only 2.5 km. They demanded I do a bank transfer of $45 immediately because I was $45 short. They wanted to stand over me and photograph the bank transaction on my computer. I said NO! and ordered them out of my house. If firm wants COD, it must give quote. I did bank transfer later same day. YET still NO receipt! They refused to give me a receipt for $450 cash I paid at end of job. They were often on their moboile phones [removed comment] seemed to be bullying them to bully me. Dsgraceful behaviour and a rotten experience.

Would not recommend this company at all. They showed up 3 hours late on the day, and with a smaller rented truck, causing the move to go for at least an hour and a half longer than quoted. The owner has ignored all calls and messages and left it for his drivers to deal with the mess. Also didn't quote all fees and charges when we specifically asked what they would be, causing the bill to be $200 more than quoted. Very disappointing service.

They were terrible with communication,
Said they were going to be there at a certain time & then were
8 hours late!

They could not pack a truck to save their life! They had so much excess room but still said they couldn’t fit all of our belongings. Said we needed a second truck when we moved with a smaller truck before!
Charged an extra $600 for a second trucked conveniently around the corner for less than a boot load of stuff.

They broke picture frames.

They had extremely terrible body odor.

Were late with the drop off.

They were very dodgy & I don’t think they were a legitimate business!

STAY AWAY!!!

We've used these guys twice in the past 6 months. The first trip their truck broke down, not their fault I know. Second trip their guys reversed their truck into the garage door of the house we were moving out of (causing quite some damage) and refused to admit to the incident, they overcharged us by one hour and there is no sign of our microwave!!! I'd love to give a better review, but sorry guys, very very disappointed.

They were magnificent. The owner was very helpful in organising the move and very professional. The 2 removalists that came on the day were very polite and listen to my requests and responded in a courteous manner. They also were very careful and looked after my things as if they were there own. They were very patient particularly given they had move furniture down winding stairs and some of it very large. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and took away a lot of the stress that is involved in moving. Well worth the investment and would recommend these guys to everyone.

They were late, they have broken doors and had not mentioned anything.
The price got higher. they scratched my freezer, broke my new fridge door handle.
They said they would be in contact to arrange insurance.
Never happened took my money and now will not answer my calls. I paid cash up front and was told I will receive a receipt via email that to never happened. Stay away from this company Would not recommend them at all.
Very Bad customer service

Would never recommend this company. Was the cheapest but made a mistake. Have over 30 articles broken, scratched furniture dented and scratched fridges and freezer. New dryer dented. Threw the boxes to each other or onto floor of truck. Did not have enough rugs, offered to supply dooners didnt want them. Communication bad as didnt speak good english and spoke in their indian language to each other. So couldn't read the word FRAGILE. They worked hard but not worth all the mess and heartache. Rang many times to complain but no answer.

We have moved three times over the past few years and have used Flatrate Removals every time. They are professional and friendly and provide accurate quotes and good advice. On the day of our most recent move we were very impressed with the teamwork and communication displayed as well as with their efficiency. Everyone we've dealt with from the admin people to the people who do the lifting and the person who was driving, they all have been so pleasant to deal with. We were particularly impressed with the team that delivered our belongings recently when they took the time to stomp the dirt and mud off their boots before they entered our brand new apartment building. To us, that kind of attention to detail is the hallmark of a professional. We would certainly recommend Flatrate Removals and will use them again in the future without a doubt.

This was the first time I've ever used a removalist company so I was hesitant as they generally have a negative reputation. However, I was amazed at the care, hasteness, professionalism and friendliness of this company and in particular the blokes who helped me. Flatrate Removals was very prompt and had all the essentials for a fast, protected and secure furniture removal. However, most credit goes to the team who assisted with my move. The removalists made the move exceptional. If you ever need to move your house, this company will make your day. They will deliver like no other. When I move again I will certainly use this company without hesitation. They are relatively cheap and offer the best standard you could ask for. I have dealt with a number of removalist companies over the years - most of them overpriced with damage occurring to our furniture items. From the moment I contacted Flatrate Removals, I received highly efficient and professional service, I had a feeling everything would go well on the day. I was not wrong. On moving day, the guys were efficient and professional, taking great care with our items. Everything arrived at our new property safe and sound - on top of all that, very reasonable rates with no hidden charges you often find with removalist companies. I cannot recommend Flatrate Removal highly enough!
