Michelle is awesome! She just knows my hair and the colours that work. When I want to be creative in colour changes she always comes up with a solution that works. She really know her stuff. And she’s the only hairdresser I’ve found who can cut my kids’ hair properly.

This is a brilliant gem on Rose St. for beautiful hair and professional make up. I have always been very happy having my hair done here for years and never once have been disappointed. I feel it’s especially important as a client to have the level of treatment where you feel you’re actually valued and cared about - and Michelle does an incredible job of that. She is very efficient and ensures that you look and feel amazing every time! I can confidently say my hair has never been healthier and it feels like silk. I absolutely love feeling pampered here and I won’t go anywhere else!

Michelle is amazing, very professional and always does a great job. I have been going to Essendon and Hair Makeup for over two years, have recently moved out to the West and still travel 25K's to get my hair done here.

Wonderful, friendly, community minded hair salon. Michelle is a wonderful hairdresser who I have been getting my hair cut and coloured with for about 17 years and have always been happy with the results. She's taken me through many years of (natural looking) blonde foils, and back to my natural brown. She even rescued a completely botched blonde job that I got done while travelling overseas. She's always friendly and accommodating, and great value too. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

After months of waiting for my hair to grow after Chemotherapy I decided I couldn't wait any longer!
My sister in law recommended hair extensions so I started doing some research online and found Essendon Hair and Makeup.
What an amazing find :) Michelle is obviously extremely experienced and I knew instantly I was in good hands and what a beautiful soul she is.
I don't think I've ever been to a hairdresser who is so passionate, innovative, creative and dedicated to her customers, craft and business and I was certainly transformed in many ways when I walked out of her salon on Sunday :)
Hand on heart I can honestly say this was one of the best decisions I have made for myself and would obviously highly recommend anyone who has been through Cancer and Chemotherapy to take the plunge. Really great salon who managed to fit me in at this hectic time for hairdressers. Michelle is friendly and professional, the salon is clean and feels light and Hazel the younger staff member was a star who took alot of time and care with my hair - as did Michelle. Def recommend :)

I found Essendon Hair & Makeup in a last minute scramble to get my hair cut and styled the next morning. I am so lucky to have found them! They were so accommodating, the salon is beautiful and the staff were all lovely. The best part was how reasonably priced it was, and how great my hair looked. Michelle is incredible! I went to the salon in search of Help with my hair a mess and In need of some serious TLC. Michelle was able to get my hair to the exact colour I wanted and made me feel comfortable from the start. I have been all over melbourne searching for someone to do this but Michelle is the only one who has been successful she has so much knowledge in the industry and you can tell she really cares about her clients and there needs! I will definitely only be coming back to here FINALLY! I have found an amazing hairdresser in melbourne. Thank you Michelle

Michelle is incredible and all the staff are so lovely. First time I went there a couple of months ago, I was promised I'd have a perfect white blonde going through my natural mouse brown by the second time, and that's exactly what's happened. It's also a really relaxed and chilled vibe in there.

I tried out Essendon Hair and Makeup for a cut first, which was excellent. Michelle had some great ideas and really knew how to cut my very fine hair. The style stayed looking good right up to my next appointment. On my second visit I also had a colour done. Again Michelle knew exactly what would suit me and I am delighted with the result. It was also nice to have a hairdresser who understood that I didn't feel like chatting and happily got on with her work. Great job Michelle! I'll be back :-)

This is a fabulous hair salon - relaxed and welcoming! Michelle is an amazing hair stylist for my wavy/curly hair. Even when I was about 5 weeks overdue for a cut (due to illness) my hair still looked good.

Amazing hair salon. Gave me exactly what I wanted for my blonde hair. My hair looks so natural and honestly they couldn't have gotten it more accurate to what I was envisioning and I am extremely picky when it comes to my blonde. I came in unhappy with the color blonde I had and she created my perfect shade. Highly recommend

Bianca does a great haircut and styles to perfection. I struggle when it comes to styling and she was great at suggesting some styles that would suit me and the right product to use.

I came to Michelle with long black packet dye hair wanting to go blonde. Michelle explained the process to me and and after one session had my hair a dark blonde! Olaplex was used and my hair is still healthy and I have had no breakage. I have been back three times (I live over an hour away) and my hair is nice and blonde and still so healthy!! Michelle and Biance are lovely and very welcoming. Highly recxommend!!

Excellent above and beyond service. I am an ex hairdresser that has high expectations when it comes to techniques and quality products used on my hair. I became a client 5 years ago after many attempts at finding a good hairdresser, my hair has never looked better and I look years younger now than 5 years ago. For my entire life I have add thin, thin hair that broke constantly no matter what products I tried (and I tried a lot). Michelle has achieved something no one else ever has been able to do. My hair is longer and healthier than it has ever been. It doesn't break anywhere near as much as it use to. And to have blonde that shins feels amazing. Highly recommend this Salon they are professional, friendly and never disappoint.
