Durelec

Tim responded to my call to replace my faulty Hot Water System. Another company had quoted what I believed was an extortionate price. Tim wad able to supply a quote over the phone. He organised the replacement unit, which turned up within the hour, closely followed by Tim. Work was carried out efficiently and competently. All completed within 4 hours of my original call. Tim is a gem and I would thoroughly recommed.

Our hot water stopped working one night and Durelec came up in a google search. I texted the number in the ad as it was about 8pm. I got an instant response and an appointment lined up at 8am the next day. The plumber/electrician who came out was friendly and helpful - he said it was a simple issue but that I could get it fixed under warranty for free, and that I should do that instead. (He still charged me over $100 for the callout though!!)

Later it turned out that he knew much more about what was wrong than the warranty people, and I was glad that I'd had his advice to be able to insist on what was fixed. He had also said that if I ended up needing/wanting it to be fixed by him, he would take the callout fee off the cost of my bill in the end.

So - excellent, friendly, knowledgable and prompt service.... but still pretty expensive for a callout that was a 15 minute inspection. I guess that's pretty standard though. I'd use them again if I ever had a problem with the hot water that wasn't covered by warranty.
