Dextress Hair

1st experience from reviews on this site and I wasn't disappointed. When I called the gentleman on the phone went above and beyond to get me an appointment even though they were flat out. That was approx 3 months ago and I'm just making my next appt now as my cut and foils has lasted so well and I continue, even now, to get compliments on how good it looks... WOW! Never had that before. Not cheap, but as I called today for my 2nd appt it was recommended by Jesse that I may just need hairline and part foils to freshen up so that will save money this time round. Now that's great practical service :-)

I would not recommend this business.
I went there for a hair cut on my long hair and came out looking nothing like what I expected... My hair is now shoulder length when I asked just above my breasts and I cannot wait for my hair to grow to NOT go back there for a haircut!... So disappointed! I actually cried when I got home and registered how bad my hair looked! I have wavy hair, I asked for layers, a little of the length off, a side fringe, I actually showed pictures of what I was after.
I first ended up with curls, ugly curls! When I asked the lady who was taking care of me that I really didn't like the curls, she pulled her face and agreed to straighten them instead... It didn't look as bad and when she showed me the back with a mirror, I almost had a heart attack, the back of my hair was cut SO straight, no point, no layers, just straight! Because she made me feel so bad the first time I told her I didn't like the curls, I just acted courteous and polite and told her that this was fine, paid and left. By the time I got home I was in tears...
Worst experience ever at a hairdresser, never cried because of a haircut before and now I am left with something that I hate and I am just going to have to wait until my hair grows again...
Would not recommend this place to anyone!

It was so nice to walk away with exactly what you wanted done with your hair and to have it explained to you how to style and look after your hair in between visits. Lovely staff would recommend this salon to all my friends. Thankyou Jess for great cut and colour

Treat yourself to a Delightful Designer "Do" at Dextress!

Jess and her Crew operate an extremely professional salon which is an absolute pleasure to visit - polite, well-trained, experienced staff who ensure that clients are truly satisfied with the services and treatments.

Dextress offers reasonably priced services and great hospitality in a comfortable atmosphere, (love the recliner chairs at the basins!), with friendly, knowledgeable staff.

The salon offers great promotions and the creative use of technology (on-line bookings) and social media is also impressive - connect with Dextress on facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

This was my first visit, but definitely not my last!

Honestly the BEST hairdressing experience I've had in a long time. This is such a wonderfully well run business. The online booking enquiry was easy and promptly answered. From the moment I walked in, I was so impressed by the natural friendliness of everyone and the very high level of attention and service they show each client. I was given a pressure point massage on arrival and asked throughout my time there if I was comfortable and if I'd like a drink of choice and a biscuit.

My lovely hairdresser, Jess, did such a great job with my hair even though it arrived in quite a sad state! She was very intuitive and listened to what I wanted, taking time to discuss and explain the process. I got the style and length I desired and the choice of colour was spot on (and still is after a few weeks away!) I was so happy with the results and the overall experience was just wonderful. What a great atmosphere they have created. I didn't want to leave! I'm so looking forward to my next relaxing appointment :-)

I went to Dextress Hair last week for the first time. The online booking enquiry made life easy & I was able to secure sn appointment via email in 2 minutes. On arrival the staff were very friendly & prompt. I booked for a Brazillian but end Wax but ended up leaving with an Underarm, Full Le & Brazillian wax. I was recommended 'Sugaring' which was amazing. I was so happy with the results & look forward to my next appointment. The girls were friendly, had a 'nothing is a trouble approach' with fantastic customer service skills.

I've been a Dextress customer for over 6 years now, and I couldn't be happier. From Bec the owner, Jess (my stylist) to the apprentices, especially the lovely Grace and all the other wonderful girls in between the experience is always relaxing and a pleasure to go. It's a little sanctuary of "me time" for this busy mum! No attention to detail is spared, including head massages, coffee/tea/sparkling juice and yummy gourmet biscuits. Makes me want to get my haircut more often than 6 weekly! I always get comments on my "do" after each visit. Thanks girls, and Graham, you rock!

Wonderful service from great staff who had patience & understanding for a nervous client. Found they explained the entire process in great detail. The salon is fantastic too. Couldn't wish for better service.

Wow is not a big enough word to describe my experience at DEXTRESS; from the moment I stepped into the beautifully appointed salon I felt valued as a client. Bec and her team go to make up one of the most 'switched on' businesses I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. From the mini starter massage to the fabulous coffee and the way they explain the clients hair 'process' is just amazing. I had my first cut & colour last bight with Alandra & couldn't be happier! After a recent spate of bad hairdressing experiences I put the word out on social media looking for a decent hairdresser & Dextress was recommended & is close to home so I took the plunge & was thrilled with the results! They actually listened to what I wanted & gave really great hair advice. The staff were very friendly & attentive ( but no to in your face) The End result beautiful hair & a very happy customer!

One of the best experiences I have had getting my hair style cut in a salon, very caring thoughtful, focused and did an excellent job. The whole salon buzzed with enthusiasm, and made you feel welcome.

I recently had a Cut and Colour sevice at Dextress: All the team members are commited to really making you feal fantastic, from the moment you walk through the door.And genuinely care about the concerns I had with my hair.I left feeling amazing and have recommended Dextress to many of my friends and colleges. I originally liked going to Dextress to get my hair done, but over time the salon seemed to become more greedy. They kept marking up the price of services every time I went and eventually these increase seemed excessive. In addition they switched to cheaper products, which resulted in a reduced quality result. I also felt like they were pushing you to buy products and take on extra services. I notice they have lots of great feedback, but beware because they seem to have a different treatment standard for those who spend a lot and those who do not. Although loyal customers should be rewarded, you shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable if you only spend $1000 with them a year versus $2000 or more.

Beautiful hair & beauty salon. Staff are experienced and friendly, you are always greeted with a smile. The beauty salon is lovely and a very private, a relaxing place to go for all your beauty services.

Great place with great staff. Head massages on arrival are wonderful and if you are lucky enough to have Graeme wash your hair, nobody will ever be able to do it as good. All in all the best beauty business around.

I have been going to Dextress Hair for so many years that I have lost count. They are always very professional and friendly and eager to help in any way. Nicola looks after me and is always so friendly and very helpful when I have a moment of "please do something with my hair". I always leave satisfied and happy with the result. The beauty services are great to and I am always happy after my deluxe pedicure.

I have been going to Dextress for nearly 4 years now. Even after moving away from the area 2 years ago, I would still rather drive 30/40 minutes than go anywhere else. It's because all of the staff at Dextress are incredibly talented, friendly and professional! The do a fantastic job on my hair every time, so much so that I end up leaving with a bigger smile on my face then the one I came in with! I highly recommend this salon as I would not go anywhere else!!

I am a regular customer at Dextress Hair Face Body & each & every time has been an enjoyable experience. All the staff are very welcoming, professional, friendly & can't do enough for you. Everything is done with customer satisfaction in mind from the relaxation massage upon arrival to the final style cut being finished. It's a mini pamper session every time which I love! My hair dresser, Jess is fantastic at her trade & I always walk away very happy with my hair style, colour etc. I would recommend Dextress Hair Face Body to anyone wanting a thoroughly enjoyable and quality hairdressing experience.
