Creative Write-it

Amy & her sidekick Vicki have assisted our quiet reluctant writer of 11 years to express her thoughts & ideas using story writing & comic booking.
We are amazed not only at how Charlotte's writing has progressed but also in the way she articulates herself now.
She really looks forward to her weekly writing workshops.
It's hard to believe this is the same child who started at Creative Write-it only a few months ago.

Callum has been rapt with his book so far. He has impressed a few people with his writing and they have been very impressed with the process that Callum has described that he has had to go through with Creative Write-it to get his book 'Magic Hut' published, such as multiple drafts, editing, and input into the cover design. See you next term and thanks Ben and Amy for all your work with Callum to get his book off the ground.

Two thirds of the way through the creative write it course for adults, and I have nothing but praise. The facilitator Vicki is professional and knowledgeable. She sets appropriate exercises in a reasonable time frame, and many of these have subsequently been incorporated into my work. Her feedback is great with plenty of praise, but also constructive criticism which is useful in developing character, structure, plot etc. I like the format of the course and the way it has been adapted to suit the needs of the participants. Additionally, Vicki is very generous with her time, and is very personable. Of all the short courses I have attended in a number of countries over the years, this has to be by far the best. I look forward to an extension of this course to keep me on track!

My son, Lj is currently in year 5. Learning from his teacher that he is 6 months behind on his spelling and his writing composition is below the standards prompted me to ask around and a friend recommended Creative Write-It. Lj has a lot of cool ideas in his mind, but when it comes down to putting it down on paper, all of his imagination is gone! His first session with Cameron, on the end of term 1, was like a light switch that was turned on. For the first time in his life, he actually WROTE ON PAPER! Lj wrote a 2 page story! It was like a miracle! After Cameron decided to tour France. Lj had Ben and Nadia, both instructors are brilliant! Lj's NAPLAN results just came in and to my surprise and astonishment, he got band 8 on grammar and punctuation. I asked him how did this came about? Lj said his Creative Write-It teachers made sure his grammar and punctuation is always correct. In Term 3, my daughter started with Nadia and it was amazing to see her bloom in her writing at her age. She enjoys every moment of being in class. Both my children loves going to their classes, because they said there is something in there that brings out the best creative writing talent they have from inside them. Our first term at Creative Write-it was a delightful experience for my 10-year old - a spark was truly ignited. Not only did she come out of every class having had fun, but the writing started to flow in other areas - diary writing was initiated; stories written at school grabbed attention. There also seemed to be a long list of books to read. Thank you Amy for your professionalism and setting up a beautiful workshop. Thank you also to Ben for sharing your creating writing insights in a fun way with the kids and for sharing your illustrating talents.

Thank you so much for being so helpful, supportive, creative, educational, and just really great throughout all of the workshops this term, I have really enjoyed them! I have also been super surprised at the story I have written! This is because I have never written anything like this, or created a character like Gerard before. I have also been amazed by the transformation of my story, and need to thank you so much for that!

Josia has attended only 2 private lessons with Ben so far but he already gained valuable writing skills and his confidence has increased 100%. He is always excited to go to his lessons and he thinks Ben is the calmest and nicest teacher on Earth! Thanks Amy for suggesting private lessons to start with, I think it was definitely the best thing we've done for Josia! We definitely recommend your services to any kids who struggle with their writing skills!

A few years ago I was searching everywhere for a forum in which my daughter (Keira) could explore her passion for writing. I found it incredibly hard to find a suitable program until, like an oasis we discovered Amy and Creative Write-It.

Keira has been attending Amy's programs ever since and has developed into an incredibly proficient and talented writer under the expert guidance of Amy and her team.

I would strongly recommend Creative Write-It as an extra curricular activity for students of any age.

This is the third year that my three kids (now 11, 10 and 8) have enjoyed Amy and her team's writing classes. We do them for fun and for providing a structured opportunity to think and write creatively. Amy and the other teachers (we have Nadia and Ben) are skilled, kind and fun. The kids see the classes as fun and are always happy to go. They always come bounding out of them eager to share what they have done and read out what they have written. I couldn't ask for anything more! Highly recommended!

Both Holly and Josh absolutely loved their first session with Amy at Creative Write-it. Holly said it was such a calming environment which really helped get her creative thinking going! Amy was brilliant at relating to them, had the ability to inspire them to write creatively and had great suggestions on how to make their writing even more interesting. We look forward to a joyous journey of writing for them both!
