Cooltrix performed a questionable air-conditioning installation.
Despite using the unit fewer than five times, it fails to cool the space effectively.
When I raised the issue, they suggested a refrigerant top-up. However, refrigerant operates in a closed system, and top-ups are generally unnecessary without installation problems.
Moreover, topping up refrigerant can be illegal due to its environmental impact, as noted here: https://arctick.org/media/1186/arc_fact-sheet_15.pdf .
Throughout our communication, they did not acknowledge the installation issue and insisted that a refrigerant top-up was needed every six months.

Gave me a quote, then demanded 50% more. I paid the original quoted amount, then he started threatening to come back, presumably break into the apartment and disconnect the unit. Incredibly rude, unprofessional and has been threatening me. Absolute muppet. Should have read the other reviews before I used him.

Very dodgy, unprofessional and incompetent company. Moved an air conditioner, reduced the copper pipe & installed the incorrect gas back into the unit, causing the compressor to fail & render the unit irreparable.
Do not use these guys.

They took my deposit then refused to install , they are dodgy! NCAT passed orders for them to refund but as they have been deregistered by ASIC it’s highly unlikely. Beware!

Cannot recommend this company highly enough. Their price, service and prompt attention to replacing and disposing of an old split system was fantastic. The service and communication and very reasonable price for a quality unit makes it a pleasure to deal with this company.

Very Unprofessional. Would never recommend. I had arranged for Cooltrix to provide a quotation for a new installation and replacement of our existing air conditioner. The date and time were scheduled for Saturday 2 PM. However, no one arrived at the said time. We waited and followed-up with the person, he said that he had forgotten about the appointment and said that he would call back. We cancelled our further commitments and stayed back home. But we never received a call. We followed up again after 2 hours, and received a very negative response that he is very busy and will call back when he has time. He has never called back...
