was arranged to do 2 jobs. Install battery on working system and install new system, Contracts signed in June 2018. System with the battery backup failed in less than 24 hours after installation and now late October and nil action. Has left the whole system that was previously functional in a non working state. Other system had solar panels installed in late August with the cables hanging and nil further progress. Wonder if this is a safety hazard. Had promised to have electrician arrive to do the installation today (25/10/2018) but as expected no one has turned up. Do not trust or believe this company and even more important do not sign any contract with them. Just avoid them.
UPDATE- have finally had one job completed with a new install completed by Swan Electrical and Solar. Very happy with the final outcome. Have had a Solax hybrid inverter used with 4kw of battery power connected. This has been sufficient for nights so very little grid power now being used. Despite the time and continued harassment the final outcome has been worth it. Still waiting for the second address to be sorted out.
20 panel 5Kw system installed on 28/1/14. Not linked until Middle of April 14. paid over 10K. Gov rebate now so low our bill is not reduced by much! Inverter now not working. It is going to take weeks to replace because they have to get the replace from overseas - they WILL NOT use their stock!! We go without generating any solar for as long as it takes right in the middle of summer.
Approximate cost: $10K
QUOTE for 5kw Solar Power PV System. My experience with this company is identical to all the bad reviews given to Modern Solar on womo. A real theatre-going experience (though a flat one at that), the sales rep couldn't even go off script, despite that I'm pretty sure he knew I wasn't fooled. He continued going through the motions of calling his boss about us (well, rather, me - my husband got bored and went off to work half an hour earlier) not wanting to sign up there and then! I wasn't even in hearing-shot for most of it because I was busy bustling the kids into the car to go (late!) to daycare. A bad-start to my solar-panel quest.
Approximate cost: $16.5K
Well, I got a quote from Enviroshop yesterday afternoon, and they were much more pleasant to deal with. 11K all up, zero pressure, and I was happy with the research into the ethics of all the panel manufacturers etc they did. Will likely get another quote, but I was pretty happy with the visit. He also got up on the roof and all that jazz to get an idea if there could be any issues with an install. And regarding Citisolar, I was recommended them by someone who got 3.5Kw system for 9K from them, without issue. I believe from my research that their panels and credentials are fine, its just their selling tactics (and price!) that is offensive.
