Ceasar's Hands Cosmetology & Tricology

Does anyone know where Chez's salon is now? Its been years since I had a great haircut (by Chez of course). I just havent ever found anyone as great. Would love to find him again.

Never ceases to amaze me. Other hairdressers can be using the same products but they will not be able to deliver the same result. It is more than just products. It is the application of the science and knowledge.

Four years ago I was looking for a hair dresser who was creative and a master of their art. I instantly found that with Ceasar. When I come in and am sure what I want, I leave happy. When I'm not sure what I want, Ceasar is able to work his magic and give me a look that is unique to me. I've hardly ever walked out with the same cut, testimony to Ceasar's skills as I've almost always kept my hair short. Many thanks Ceasar and Selviana!

Cesare has been doing my hair since end of 1999, my hair condition was very poor, my natural curl lost its shine, my hair looked really unhealthy. Cesare's knowledge of thrycology and his expertise in working with curly hair have brought life to my curls. In May Cesare cut my hair resembling Betty Boop. I never received so many compliments in my life. From family, friends colleagues and acquaintances i\I was told that i looked a City Chick girl, one even said i was "cat walk" material. Everyone complimented on my new cut. Well done Cesare:). I always trust him with my hair.

nice guy however wont be going back. my first appointment booked months in advance he was an hour or late. I was told last minute while out the front ready to go in, i had to wait 20 mins outside in the cold then wait another 30 inside watching while he finished someone else's hair. with chaz it was a pattern of delays he cancelled on me twice after delaying 2 of my appointments. He arranged all my reschedules and I followed his availability. the ending point was when he decides delayed me yet again because he didn't have the hair dye he needed for my hair. when I said I couldnt be available at the time he wanted to delay me to after he had cancelled on me so many times he pushed my next appointment a month out because I wouldn't do his new time for his error. i felt silly relying on this guy, his not reliable. I guess what annoyed me the most out of the whole experience was his website likes people on-time and will charge you and make it clear for you to be punctual yet you don't receive that respect. I'm very disappointed in the service. for an idea on time for new customers my first appointment for a hair cut ONLY I left at 11:40pm that night . My appointment was meant to be 7 15pm. just so new customers get an idea of what you may experience. I had work the next day and he barely cut any hair. he charged me 35 dollars per hair product. I bought 2 shampoos 1 conditioner, hair brush, hair spray, serum.

My recent experience with Chaz was nothing but amazing, Walked in with naturally curly but frizzy, damaged hair & walked out with beautiful, healthy defining curls. Chaz's approach is very professional & has wealth of information about your scalp & hair. He is one of a kind & can't wait to go back for my colour.

I recommend Ceasar's Hands unreservedly. I have never experienced such excellent service, knowledge and expertise, as well as value for money. It seems that no-one, including myself, has ever known how to look after my curls until now. I have gone from being perpetually disappointed with my hair to loving it. Totally worth the wait.

Going to Caesar’s hands is a unique experience which combines personal care and attention with professional skill and knowledge. My hair is a bit frizzy and I have had many experiences where a hairdresser will focus on the styling of it by loading it with products at the end to look good. An hour later I can see that the cut is not good at all with layers puffing out and there will be no shape to it. Chez is completely different. He looks at the person, their lifestyle, the facial shape, the type of hair and its condition. He does not use heated irons and tonnes of products to tame the hair but gives it a shape with a great cut which complements your face. When I discovered Chez, my hair became healthy, natural and stylish without needing much work at all. Now that I live in New Zealand I still travel once or twice a year to get some much needed intervention and he always manages to find the time even if he has to stay at work until late. Highly recommended to all.

I have been going to Ceasare for 20 Years and he is excellent. I have curly hair and he is the only person who ever got it right and then got it right consistently. Ces and Sel and great lovely people and work hard to get it right. I saw a few negative comments below so thought to post as I would defend them to the last.....they are worth their weight in gold!! Chez was a breath of fresh air. He has the science of hair down pat. I felt listened to and walked out more knowledgable about my hair. I loved my new look. Will be back again without a doubt. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a real hairdresser.

Never on time - just get a text on the day saying they're "running fashionably late". One hour us not late, it's poor time management and complete disregard for their customers. Bookings only taken by [Redacted identifying comment] who you can only text or email - won't pick up the phone. Haircut good, but not worth the hassle.

After a break of three years and three years of absolutely terrible haircuts and colours I returned to Ceasar's Hands. The break was only due to my work schedule making it impossible to attend appointments in the city. I was in despair with the condition and cut of my hair and after just one visit my hair not only feels but looks amazing again. Cesare just knows how to tame my unruly mop of strong, thick and wavy hair and understands that thinning scissors and/or a relaxing perm are not the answers. It will take a few more visits before my hair is back in good condition but I am so happy to be back in Ceasar's Hands.

I'm a regular customer and am very happy with the result every time I visit Ceasar's Hands. I had my hair coloured last time for the first time in the last 12 years. Now i'm absolutely in love with the natural colour and beautiful shine I've got on my hair. I love the volume of my hair and gorgeous layers Chez created for me. I thought that Caesar's knowledge and skills are amazing, I have worked as a model for many years, seen many hairdressers and make up artists at work, had my hair styled endlessly, talked to each about their work philosophy, professional tricks and tips. I have never seen such a deep holistic approach based on a thorough knowledge of hair, skin, body, character, personality types, how everything in one's body is connected, and how Caesar bases his advice on a particular client's personality, age, etc. The goal is to get each client look THEIR best with what the nature gave to THEM. It's just THEM as THEY are, not anybody else. Most of all I agree with Caesar's view that one's hair must be made healthy as a priority, and all the rest comes after. I've been looking for a hairdresser who knows it, means it and most importantly can make it happen. I think that a professional such as Caesar who has a varied background, did many things in his life other than his current job draws on other occupations/hobbies/interests and that makes his work highly professional, not limited to a specific field, interesting and fun!

Ceasar not only helped with my dry hair problem but also took the time to get to know my hobbies and interests as a person. Experienced and reliable, he made me feel completely at home and I left knowing better ways to care for both myself and my hair.

This is for my recent haircut appointment. Cesare has created a sort of bob that suits my unruly and tough hair. As always, love the layers!! Cesare can always bring out the best result for my hair. I got the lots of WOW compliments for this new haircut. It looks healthy, fresh, and full of energy (wish i can post a photo here).

I had a terrible hair disaster that meant my long, curly hair was ruined. I knew I needed an expert to help me. I called with desperation in my voice on a saturday morning and Cesare called back within 20 minutes making a special appointment for me that afternoon even though he wasn't working that day.
I felt immediately re-assured when we met that he knew his stuff and he gave me so much advice and educated knowledge about what we could do with my hair and how to make it work for me. He was so kind as he cut into my long hair and cut it into a new and beautiful look that only someone with such talent and knowledge could do. He spent several hours with me getting things perfect and helping me transition into my new hair and, in some ways, life. His lovely wife kept their 3 young children busy whilst he finished our appointment, which was so kind. I'll be back for a colour soon and for hair care with him for years to come!

My mum and I have been going to Ceasar since December 2014 and it's always a lovely experience. I have naturally curly hair and I've grown to love them thanks to Ceasar-I haven't used a straightener since! My hair is currently short in layers and it feels so free. I can't thank Ceasar enough for his work on my hair and his thorough explanations about what he does to it and why. His vibrant personality and stories are also perks of booking an appointment. I have been seeing Chez for a few years now and he is fantastic! I have curly hair and he is a master of it. He keeps it healthy and looking it's best. The colour he users is beautiful and long lasting! The products he users are also great for my hair. I have tried several curly hairdressers in Melbourne and Chez is by far the best!! I am a surgeon by profession and have spent all my life with frizzy hair, tied up in a ponytail/ bun. I wanted to learn more about how to manage curly hair without having to spend a whole lot of time with chemical/ heat treatments.
Caesar hands is a one of its kind salon, I haven't experienced hair cut any where close to this level of personal attention and professionalism. Caesar is a gentle, kind soul, highly experienced and very scientific in his approach. He takes you through every step of what he intends to do in a very detailed fashion. But he also manages to give some golden practical words of advise. Thanks to him I am now more confident of leaving my hair open without the need for straightening irons/ curlers. I would highly recommend him, he is a talented gem!

My father-in-law was a brilliant hairdresser but since his death 15 years ago, I have visited only two hairdressers - one in Sydney in 1994 (very expensive, hair ended up like frizzy straw) and one in Kew, Melbourne (brilliant cutter, many awards, sadly has retired since I saw him in about 2003 - many will guess I mean Aldo Raymond). So I do know a good cutter when I see one, and know how important a good one is, but was terrified about finding someone. I am 58, unwell and only just coming out of my shell after a bad marriage breakup a decade ago. My hair is thin, damaged and affected by hormonal imbalances due to a tumour. It is a major challenge. Not only did Ceasar give volume and shine and a whole new lightness to my hair but the cut was exactly what my hair and my face needed. The colour appointment was the same - brilliant and long-lasting result that enhanced and improved both the look and the health of my hair. He explained every problem, every step of the treatment, and how to maintain his work. Above all, he was friendly and gentle and reassuring and the most lovely, generous, insightful man. I cannot recommend him highly enough both professionally and personally. It would be a privilege to meet him at a dinner party; it's an even greater one to meet him as a customer at his hair salon!
His service is not bargain basement but it is worth every cent. A good cut lasts way longer than a bad cut (thankfully) and damaged hair is an expensive colour not a bargain. Considered in this sense, both his services and his supporting products represent great value for money.

Calling Ceasar's Hands a 'hair salon' is like calling chocolate 'just something to eat' - there's no comparison. Everything from the moment I walked in was a reminder, that this was someone who genuinely wanted the best for his customers, and wasn't just there to 'cut my hair'. Not only did I receive a hair cut that accentuated my features, Ceasar also taught me about the health of my hair, suggested products to improve it, all the while treating me like an old friend. As the only customer in the salon, it is evident that Ceasar genuinely takes his time to ensure you get the best result possible. The perfect focus on style AND health, coupled with the genuine warmth of Ceasar himself has converted me for life! Already booked in for my next appointment, and I can relax knowing my hair is in good hands :)

I meant to write this feedback about 6 months ago when I had my haircut at Ceasar’s Hands for the first time. I quite liked the experience and had a lot of complements about my haircut afterwards.
Here is what I liked about Ceasar’s Hands:
- Good customer service with attention to details
- He is passionate about what he does (happy to spend as much time needed to deliver a satisfactory outcome)
- He is knowledgeable and experienced (I agree with some previous comments about him not asking what the client want but in my case he knew better than me what suited me best!)
- Holistic approach considering your anthropometry, your personality and lifestyle, and what you do when suggesting a haircut/hairstyle.
- I had a nice head massage that took my headache away.
- With the comments he made about the tension he felt in my neck/muscle scalps, I was encouraged to be more self-aware and pay more attention to my postures especially at work. It was certainly not what I expected from having a haircut.
- I didn’t look very different after the haircut but everyone loved my curls and livelier look.
I would love to go back for another haircut and will probably have hair colour as well.

I saw Ceasar about 2 weeks ago for the first time. As well as wanting a hair cut I was also after some hair and scalp advice as I had some things I wanted improved. Ceasar provided great feedback on ways I could improve these areas. He approached my hair cut differently from other people I have seen as he paid close attention to the shape of my head and facial structure. I also purchased a couple of his products and have been very happy with the way my hair and scalp is now.

First time consult and cut. He did what he wanted and not what I asked - and I was clear about what I wanted. The cut is too short and not symmetrical - looks like he forgot to layer one side while the other side is over-layered and unworkable. So again I wait another 3 months to grow out the elements that I hated from my previous cut that he put back in, and I continue my search for a stylist who will listen to what I want and not simply cut it the way they think I will look good (it looks bad!). So disappointed and saddened.
