We used this venue for an educational course a few months ago and would definitely recommend it. Fantastic location and amazing staff. All staff were extremely professional, efficient, helpful and just lovely to deal with. Everything was organised and executed in a timely manner and I never had to follow up on anything.

We often use the Brassey of Canberra as a venue to run courses and our recent experience was fantastic. The staff were attentive and helpful, and the communication prior to the event was great. In addition, the venue is stunning. Would highly recommend.

The service by this company was unfortunately unhelpful and unprofessional! As a not-for-profit organisation running a number of free educational courses throughout Australia, we deal with a number of printing organisations. Unfortunately our business with Dark Horse Print and Design was not a good one. We sent them 3 printing jobs, each worth over $250 and none were received on time for the course. When quoted for this job, we had specified that our work must be delivered by a certain date (which was in fact 2 days prior to the course that we were running) and were told that this would be no problem. The first printing job was sent a week in advance, but was received not just after the specified delivery date, but after the course itself. The second printing job was given to the printing company 5 days before the course, and was also not received in time, luckily there were only a limited number of booklets for this one and a printing company on site was able to process these, albeit for a high cost. The artwork for the final job was provided a week in advance as well, but my colleague was told that the artwork was not in the correct format. Apparently to print in grayscale, the whole copy had to be saved in grayscale. This has never been a problem with other printers that we have used as they simply print the artwork in grayscale, not selecting colour. After this artwork was fixed, unfortunately it left only days to print and send, which was deemed insufficient to the company, however as my colleague was not told that this would no longer be delivered in time, she believed this was still okay. The company is now refusing to reimburse us for our pre-payment. We accepted that the final artwork was supplied too late, however the other booklets should have arrived in time for the course, especially the first artwork. As the company has refused to reimburse us, we tried to request reimbursement only for the first two printing jobs, and then just the first printing job, however this was rudely refused. Due to such a bad experience and the added costs from double printing these booklets, as a not-for-profit organisation we cannot afford to deal with a company such as Dark Horse Print and Design, who has not only refused to reimburse us, but threatened legal action for such a request - which is certainly excessive when we are merely requesting reimbursement for their mistake. As a consequence of these issues, I would not recommend this company. I hope that they amend their conduct and show a little more courtesy and respect to their customers.
