Whenever we are in Melbourne visiting family and friends we make it a point to pick up some pizzas from these guys. We always prepare ourselves for a long wait if it is a friday or saturday night because they are so busy, we have waited 40 minutes, it is worth it. They never fail to serve up the perfect pizza.
Now this is where you go for delicious milkshakes, coffee and irresistible cakes. Too much to choose from, we decided to share, loved the vanilla slices, chocolate cake, eclairs, donuts - we had to take some back to my uncles house, we couldn't fit it all in, in just one sitting. Fabulous!
A few of us wanted coffee and others a milkshake, this cafe offered both so we stopped in. Both the coffee and milkshakes were disappointing, didn't hit the spot, the shakes needed more flavour, a bit stingy in that department.
I really liked this burger joint, the burgers were truly delicious, absolutely mouthwatering, definitely worth the 20 minute wait. Make sure you try their onion rings, fries and shakes. The staff were friendly, just a bit slow, however it was busy. No complaints, just praise.
I haven't had any issues with they guys, my food is always fresh, perfectly cooked and very tasty, especially the yiros and burger with the lot priced at around $7 - great value. They have a huge menu, quite varied to suit most people, tried their salads and found them to be delicious, chickens nicely cooked, very tender, flake and calamari - perfect. Their meal deals are great value.
We decided to pop in over the Christmas break as we felt like treat ourselves. I purchased some Reese's, Hershey's, lolly gobble bliss bombs and quite a few other items for my girlfriend. Prices were quite good, heaps of variety, they had quite a few sweets I had not seen or heard of before so we gave them a try. Nice staff. We will be back to satisfy our sweet tooth.
Cockles Cafe is a great place for breakfast or picking up pizza on your way home from a big day out in Victor. I always enjoy their traditional pizza, just enough toppings and perfect base. They are priced a bit high, but I do enjoy them and are therefore willing to pay a higher price than usual. Plenty of seating if you wish to dine in, staff are always pleasant.
If you have read any of my reviews you will see that I am a true lover of Mexican. I came across this restaurant while out and about in Victor with friends, we were all peckish and decided to give the a try.
Firstly, the staff were very welcoming, the restaurant is nicely decorated and the menu offered all our favourites. We shared a few of their starters - jalapeno poppers, spicy onion rings and some buffalo wings. For mains I had the smoked pulled pork burrito with extra jalapenos, wow, yum! Others tried the tacos, beef burger, nachos and chipotle pork belly. What can I say, well we were all very impressed with the service and the flavours, exceptional, amazing!
We will be back.
These guys are very passionate about their food, it is sourced locally, is healthy, fresh and creative. If you have allergies or other dietery requirements they try to cater for you. We have enjoyed their coffee, smoothies and waffles for breakfast, very tasty and fresh. Service was quick and staff very friendly, prices are fairly good aswell.
My girlfriend and I just love this cafe and it is exciting to hear that they will be opening up in Mount Barker, can't wait, it will be so convenient. These guys will tantalise anyones tastebuds, but be aware, this cafe isn't for the health concious people. Ask for a milkshake and you will understand, it is no ordinary milkshake it is a delicious indulgent creation. Desserts are plentiful here, but they also have savoury, we enjoyed burgers and chips with our shakes, make sure you wear loooose fitting clothing, you will need it. Definitely "5" stars.
