Love this ramen place, and went for dinner just yesterday. Was a little busy at 6:30pm, but we were served relatively quickly and were lucky enough to find a table. A few people after us had trouble getting a table, though.
The ramen was delicious, and very reasonably priced. My friend and I had been craving ramen for a while, and Menya certainly hit the spot!
Approximate cost: $10
A friend and I went for a few drinks on a Thursday a bit before 5--it was beautifully quiet. Among these drinks, our favourites were the Earl Gray Marteani (amazing alcoholic "tea"!) and the Made Man (smoky heaven with Talisker whiskey and rum). They were a little pricey for the small servings, but delicious, and the service was very good.
We had a quick lunch here once, and ordered a smoked salmon panini and a burger. The panini was really disappointing (rather dry and tasteless), but the burger was pretty good. The service was good, and our food was delivered within the promised timeline.
I loved everything about this place: food, service, value. There's such a diverse selection on the menu, and we ordered a bit of everything: edamame in truffle oil (fantastic!), agedashi tofu, nigiri sushi, sushi rolls, karaage chicken. The aburi (seared) sushi was absolutely amazing, and came with a generous serving of fish draped all the way across both ends of the rice--it's very rare to see that in Sydney! The price was also incomparable, and our waitstaff were very helpful and attentive. I'm definitely going back for more!
The food here was absolutely delicious--one of the best Thai places I've been to in Sydney. I was very impressed with the quality of the meals and presentation, and especially with the general atmosphere inside the restaurant. The waitstaff are all very friendly and helpful. Although the prices were a little high, I'd be happy to return due to the quality of the food and service.
Food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent, which explains its big queues and how busy the place is. The steamed dumplings in particular were excellent. However, it was way too pricey--you can get similar quality food elsewhere in Sydney without paying the premium.
The food was good, but was pretty much standard Japanese and nothing exceptional. I enjoyed the prompt and friendly service, but the decor was a little strange, and I wasn't too keen on the general atmosphere. Had my first peach plum wine here--something I hadn't encountered in any other restaurant/bar in Sydney.
Quick, delicious, and friendly staff. I asked if they had Wifi, and the waitress happily set it up for me on my phone, though I'm not sure if their Wifi is generally open to the public. I wanted something simple and ordered chicken pad Thai and coconut juice, and it was fantastic and flavoursome. Will definitely return if I'm in the area.
A great place for an informal business dinner. The food is standard, but the outside seating in the QVB allows for some good conversations. There's a nice selection of tea, and the last time I went, the staff were friendly and happy to take multiple orders throughout the night, and weren't too intrusive.
One of the better ramen places in Sydney, though it's a little out of the way and is always packed. Service is quick and friendly, though it's not someplace for a long meal and conversation. Try to arrive before 6pm, otherwise you might be queuing outside for a fair while.
