About a week ago four of us had lunch at Bridge Hotel's "Terrace" room.
We knew that it was pricey but not quite as much as reality proved it to be.
I had cutlets & couscous; this was foolish. There were two cutlets on the plate but they were so tiny I had difficulty in finding them amidst some lettuce & chips I had ordered as "extras". To be sure, said cutlets & couscous would have looked rather lonely on their own if I had not requested those extras.
Two of us ordered a bottle of wine to share, Hayes Barossa Shiraz, which was $85. A wine that was little more than ordinary; it was too bland altogether and we gave it 6/10. To top the meal off, I stupidly decided to have a desert, Matcha Sago, which I generously gave a 1/10 rating.
Rather doubt we'll be back there again, any time soon.
On first meeting Kev, he was quick to point out just what was needed for the proper
re-pointing of our roof and what was not. With refreshing honesty, he told me that my original
plan of having our tiles cleaned and re-painted was unnecessary as they were in good condition, thus saving us approx. $2,000. The re-pointing was done quickly, efficiently and courteously. A great job well done and at a reasonable price.
Approximate cost: $2900
