Excellent little local, has nice bar and bottle shop and cute little dining area with slightly above average pub food, excellent value for half-price lunches. Schnitzels especially good. The patrons in the bar can be a bit of a put-off though.
I used to use this place with my old car. It was a bit expensive but very accessible and reliable with nice staff etc. I would probably still use it but with my new car I get it serviced where the last owner did.
A while ago we had a badly blocked drain, and being a house full of girls needed to call a plumber out. Decided to use someone local, and were quite happy with the results, although it seemed a bit costly given the job (but that is probably the case with all plumbers).
Great little pub with good atmosphere, pool tables, beer garden, live music etc. Attracts quite a range of clientele, so is interesting for people-watching as well! It can get a bit loud inside though, maybe to do with the wood decor etc, which is aesthetically very nice
The BEST hot chips. This shop is usually busy so you often have to wait but it is indicative of quality. Big menu range, some items are better than others. Single deals are a bit expensive, but family deals can be excellent value. Also has a range of 12 salads which unlike some places, actually look quite appetising!
I don't like to pay a lot for hairdressing or do anything fancy, so just tend to use Just Cuts or the like. I noticed walking through the Adelaide Railway Station one day this little salon with a sign saying 'women's haircuts from $15' or somesuch. Warning - this is only for a trim of very short hair, mine generally come to between $20 and $35, but I am happier with the outcome than from the chains. If you like a really chatty hairdresser this may not be the place for you, but I don't. Sorry I don't have the phone number, can't find them in the white pages etc.
Very nice dental surgery. My dad recommended them to me - he used to have a fear of dentists and needles but after going to this surgery he no longer feels this way due to the friendly, professional and personal service. Excellent times for making appointments and waiting times.
Excellent ophthalmologist - waiting times can be a bit long but for a specialist, but appointments can be made fairly quickly and the price is reasonable. Very personable.
Have been here twice recently for dinner and both times service was excellent - once we were going to eat elsewhere but for various reasons turned up here (a large group on a Friday night) and they were able to seat us quickly, in a lovely private room no less, and provided excellent service. The decor has obviously been re-done lately and is very good. The food was a bit pricey but of better than average pub quality.
Like they say on the ad, they really are cheaper (sometimes a little, sometimes a lot when items are on special) than other chemists. Good range of general goods as well.
