After phone calls the local tile man, Allan McNeil, failed to show up.
However, I found this person, who did a fantastic job in our entryway, and shock horror, he was on time to the minute, clean, well mannered, had all the right gear, and what's more he is a real trades person.
Very happy to highly recommend this gentleman.
