I agree with the other reviewer that eating in is a better option than takeaway as the food seems to suffer when it leaves the place. This is a pity because this is so close to my home. Anyway, the food here is still good and you can find all your favourite Thai dishes for reasonable prices.

Had been meaning to try this place for a while. It's in the entertainment book which is a good saving. I had the warm chicken salad which was very nice and the schnitzel my partner had looked good. Overall a basic hotel experience.

Thought we'd try this new place after reading a review in The Age. It is quite nice and the food was of good quality but exceptional in any way. We were here for Yum Cha on Sunday and my biggest gripe is that the variety was pretty limited. A lot of the same things kept going around. I would not come here again for Yum Cha but I might try their regular menu next time.

This place serves regular hotel style meals. Food is reasonably priced and serves are quite generous. Overall fair value and quality. There are usually shopa dockets available or they offer deals if you are a member so you can often get a good deal. Not a place to rave about but solid fare.

This is a small cafe on Brighton Road with only a few places inside but on a nice day you can sit outside. They have good french toast for breakfast and the eggs are good although I have a problem with eggs being served with only one slice of toast, even if it is thick. They have very good bread.
Approximate cost: $10
I had heard good things about this place and was looking forward to it but i found it pretty average. I was glad that we remembered to bring our voucher from the entertainment book so it wasn't so expensive. It is a little squashy inside and the food was pretty basic for a Turkish place.
Approximate cost: $25
This is not the most attractive pub to have a meal but it is one of the few pubs left that still has a salad bar that you can help yourself at. I had a Caesar salad that was overly dressed but still quite generous and tasty. I will remember to ask them to put the dressing on the side next time. The other diners seemed happy with their meal. It's also in the entertainment book which is good.

This is an usual spot located behind and on the grounds of the Uniting Church in part of the church buildings. It has a very olde world atmosphere and is a different experience. We had the date bread which was rich but quite nice and the coffee was reasonable too.
Approximate cost: $10
A good spot, especially in summer on the terrace. They have a great range on the menu. I love the salads. They also do quite a good breakfast although a little on the more expensive side.
Approximate cost: $20
I had passed this place many times and it was always busy so I thought it was time to give it a go. It's very small and it has a reasonable sized menu. I had high expectations for a great coffee but I found it mediocre. Generally it was an ok experience but I wouldn't rush back.
