time 10am was walking pass Daniel Lee hairdressing salon at 9/55 Philip street, Parramatta I stop and glanced in the window as there was a wonderful display of watches and rings in a glass display unit, I noticed a sign saying under new owners. and I read the price list actually there was 2 on display one for the regular younger generation and one which was an over 55 exclusive hair club. As I am mid 60 I looked at this price list with interest. they where offering wash/perm/set wow I have never seen any other salons offering perms or sets and I was curious as I love perms and a set keeps better than a blow dry for me. I entered the salon and was greeted by a young man called Bill who asked how can I help you, I said I don't have a booking but would like to know more about the perm & set service. he said excuse me I will get father to come and see you. a few minutes later a middle aged Gentleman very smartly dressed approached me and sat down and chatted to me, he felt my hair and told me very precisely how I slept during the night by the way my hair felt and that my left side was flatter because I slept on that side, which was very true. he explained what type of perm he would like to do and how he would cut it after to give a more softer look to my face. he asked when I would like to book and I asked if he could fit me in now, which he stated he could. I was taken to the up stair floor were the basin where and I was helped into a most beautiful silk hairdressing gown where in other salons a cape is put around you. and he washed my hair the shampoo he used smelt divine and the hair wash I was falling asleep as it was so good. he then took me to his seat and towelled dried my hair I was given a menu and boy oh boy it was filled with different coffee types and tea's etc I asked for a espresso, a few minutes later it arrived with a side plates of mouth watering biscuits while enjoying the coffee Michael explained to me the different perm rod and the colours and why he was using them. 25 minutes later cotton wool was placed around my hairline and back on my head then perm lotion was bubbled up into a foam on my hair. The perm lotion didn't carry the nasty smell that I was used to in the olden days. by 12 o'clock the perm was done and I was in the styling seat again where Michael explained the cut to me he explained he took my left side of my hair tighter to allow for my sleeping pattern and he was now cutting into the hair 15 minutes later I was having my hair set into rollers, and was placed under the dryer, where I received another coffee, and a smoke salmon sandwich to which I never asked for but was told as I was nearly here for 3 hours a sandwich is always made and given to clients undergoing long hair service I must say I really enjoyed it 25 minutes later my hair was dry and Michael brought me over to his styling seat and took out the rollers, he then started combing out my hair and slightly back combing and teasing it once finished I was shocked it look wonderful Michael explained how to look after my hair I thanked him and the whole thing came to $150.00 well worth it trust me. I was told a call a few days later where an over the phone after service took place this is a 1st for me on Saturday 30th called Michael and I told it was wonderful it still has that salon look to it so I am now a DANIEL LEE GIRL for life thank you michael

Really enjoyed my visit! (And I don't usually like going to the hairdressers) Phillip Michael's did and amazing job. He was also friendly and gave me some great advice. The product I bought he told me to buy from Woolworth Johnson baby shampoo and a cheap conditioner these exactly did what he said . I would definitely recommend this salon The team at DANIEL lEE WHICH is a father and son team consistently set the bar high with their excellent quality of service and care. Could not recommend them enough, whether it for cut, colour or advice they consistently deliver fantastic results In between washing and cutting, he applied a conditioning steam treatment which seems to have done wonders for my dry tangled ends Absolutely fantastic; went in with no idea what to do with my hair, just knew I didn't like it! Went through all the issue I had and came up with a cut I absolutely adore! Gave me loads of advice for styling and generally just fabulously knowledgable. Can't recommend enough. Really great customer service here, especially as I was a pretty terrible customer arriving late and very flustered! Phillip and bill was very professional and friendly. The haircut was great, he cut it a certain way to stop the ends flicking out which is something that has always irritated me, and he taught me how to properly blow-dry my hair. Introductory offer was really excellent value, and full price I'd say is in keeping with other salons. One thing I didn't love is that the music was quite loud, but not deafening. Overall I liked and would recommend.
