The club is located at level 3 in the Crown Entertainment Complex in Southbank. Take Tram No's 55, 96, 109 or 112 or just walk from Flinders Street or Southern Cross Station.

Fusion at crown is definitely a stylish and also a large dance club. I guess the main room to hold up to 200 guests, the room upstairs is a bit smaller. The music in the rooms varies from house to RnB, from soul to funk to electro music. What makes it very special to me is that fusion is featuring DJ's and Live acts. While we were there, Timomatic made his appearance :)

It is open from Thursday through to Sunday and dress standards apply. Casual is good, but wouldn't recommend showing up in thongs. Unfortunately the club is a bit on the expensive side, but aren't they all?

Anyway, it is well worth it! If you are out for dancing all night long and just having fun, go ahead and hit this club! :)

The small shop is located inside the 'discover' building on 600 Bourke Street which is also featuring a food court, a cafe, shoe repair etc.
I had my suit dry cleaned by ibag after a bird pooped on my shoulder (yeah I know it's luck :)) They were working really quickly and sent me a text message as soon as the job was done, so that I could pick it up (Office hours are from 8 am to 5 pm) and it was not expensive at all (approx AUD 20 per suit).
Staff was very friendly, although I remember that the lady at the reception didn't understand me too well, but it could easily be due to the fact that I have a foreign accent :)

All up, I am a very satisfied customer and will definitely be back after the next bird attack!

Comfort Inn Bay of Isles
I was really not impressed by Esperance based on what I had heard about it, but we decided to stay there for two nights as it is the ideal starting point for the stunning region after all. We checked in in Comfort Inn Bay of Isles, because we had already made positive experiences in several Comfort Inns around the country. We had a Queen Standard Room, which turned out to be basic, but clean and comfortable.

PROS:
• Location: short distance from the sea
• Car parking availability in front of the room
• Good standard for the price
• Heated pool and spa
• Friendly and helpful staff

CONS:
• We had to close the curtains all the time to keep the
passers-by from looking inside our room.

All up, we had a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. You'll get great value for your money there :)

PROS:
• Location: short distance from town centre
• Bathroom and Bedroom were clean and comfortable
• Electric blankets!!! I did't expect that from a motel and was
pleasantly surprised.
• Foxtel TV!

CONS:
• Pretty basic, but good enough if you're just after a shower
and a bed

All up, I would recommend it just because it is up to the standard I would expect for the price. And of course, I loved those electric blankets :)

PROS
• Location: short walk from Swan River and Bell
Tower, business centre with its shopping streets
and parks are within walking distance
• No inconveniences during our stay

CONS
• elevators, corridors and rooms need an upgrade
• parking costs extra
• reception staff was stressed out, but at least friendly
• street persons were using the lobby toilets

All up, I would recommend it just by its location. Unfortunately we didn't include the royal visit into our travel plans, so most of the affordable hotels were already fully booked.

Being Austrian born, my husband and I came across the Austrian Restaurant “Muttis” in Carlton and decided to give it a shot. The restaurant is on the main street, easy to locate, with car parking availability.

They are offering cooking of high quality and guarantee a great food experience. I had the tender poached beef, with creamy spinach and potatoes. In Austria this meal is called “Tafelspitz”. Anyway, it tasted fantastic. And they are offering fluffy pretzel and Austrian STROH Rum as well :)

I would recommend this place to everybody and will definitely go back again.

Eureka actually is the highest viewing platform in the southern athmosphere. Not only you'll get a stunning 360 degree view of the city of Melbourne, the skydeck is a must see for every visitor. You can also step out to a terrace for a reflection free view, but be aware of the wind!
It is really interesting up there as they created some sort of sound and light experience which is following the viewer's looks and makes the place really special. You also have the opportunity to sit down, have a snack and watch on-screen footy games.
My husband and I were holding an annual skypass which means we had full year unlimited admission to the skydeck and we used it at least monthly, often after work. That is why I would recommend a visit prior to sunset in winter whilst the office building lights are still on and the sky changes its colour.
It truly is a great experience and one of my absolute favourite things to do in Melbourne!

When my parents came to visit me in Melbourne, we decided to go to Melbourne Aquarium. The staff was friendly and quick working. The penguins were comical, the sea dragons were the most impressive fish I have ever seen (I only knew them from pictures) and there is a lovely ‘moon and stars' bench to take nice photos which turned out to be THE occasion to force my parents into a soppy souvenir picture :)
Everybody enjoyed the exhibits, however we were through the building in about two hours. So I probably won't go there again, since the admission fee is quite high. But my husband and I are visiting the Aquarium Shop (you do not need to enter the Aquarium to visit the shop) every now and then as it is offering the pretty much cutest plush toys at all!

All up: The Aquarium is worth a visit, if you spend several days in Melbourne and/or you have kids, because they'll love this place!

Long Room is located on Melbourne's premier street alongside some of the country's finest Victorian era buildings and turned out to be a stylish venue with an elegant setting. It truly is a very long bar with dim lighting and good music. We just had a couple of drinks there, so I can't really say anything about dining. The night got busier as the hours progressed, but we really appreciated the ambience. I strongly recommend an elegant dress code!
