Hidden in the leafy suburbs of Armadale, this little gem of a cafe in it's quirky old building is a breath of fresh air. Very popular with the locals, so you have to get in early to avoid disappointment of having to wait a long time.
A rather decently cooked breakfast is available at Amici. Thick Spanish style omelettes served with spicy chorizo are the go here, and other juicy and fresh ingredients. Coffee is up to par, and makes this place worth another visit.
Have been here several times on a friday night. After work crowd makes this a very busy place. Drinks are average, service is average, crowd is average. Really, it's just another average Southbank bar no stand out features. It's ok if all you want is a beer, but if you're after character look elsewhere.
This place takes me back to my childhood. The pastas are unpretentious, delicious without trying to be anything special. More like a sentimental home cooked meal. Service is classic Italian, can appear surly, yet is quite charming. This place is always a welcome treat.
Went here a while ago, and was surprised at this little gem. It is a little hidden behind the chapel st strip, but a great place for some mixed drinks, a bit of a chat out the back, and to have a bit of a jig inside. It's an interesting place, that seems like an old house. Worth a look.
I have been here a few times, but on my most recent visit (last year) I walked in and sat down at a table where another friend was already waiting. We sat and talked for about 40 minutes, and the whole time no one came up to me and asked if I wanted to order anything, not a coffee, water, food or anything. Needless to say I havnt been back. Otherwise it had always been good, just a really off day I think.
Nice, clean, fresh and fast Vietnamese food. Served reasonably quick, the ingredients used seem fresh, and the flavours and sauces are not too stodgy, but rather clean tasting. All made and delivered for a reasonable price
From when living around the corner, this place was a staple pizza haunt. Interestingly their service seems to delivery quite late in the night, if my memory serves me correct. Any place open longer than the rest has my vote. Pizza is also substantial, filling, though nothing outstanding that might put it way above another place.
This is a staple restaurant that has been around for a decent amount of years. The food is quite yum, in particular their satay goods. Home delivery is decent. It's good for a nice change of menu, but I would appreciate even more menu items for home delivery
A club with a very good vibe. Never seen a fight here, only a bit of attitude and assertiveness, even when I come in with a few girls. Cheesy music to dance to is always fun, and of course the beer is nice and cold on tap.
