My husband even enjoyed this restaurant when we were living in Darwin and he doesn't normally like Thai! The location with views over the water were beautiful - perfect for outdoor eating in the lovely Darwin weather - and there is often live Asian music! The food is fantastic and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I have fond memories of this restaurant and will have to go back again next time I'm in Darwin.

We came here for a dinner with friends and ended up getting one of the banquets as we thought it would be easier and cheaper. I think it would have been better getting individual meals to share though as the banquet was pretty standard and a long way from the best Indian food I've had. It didn't end up very cheap either. The staff were very friendly and helpful (splitting the bill etc.) and the atmosphere was nice, however, I don't think we'll be back again in a hurry.

I went just before Christmas one year because I was desperate for a haircut. I managed to get in without much of a wait, which was good, but the young hairdresser seemed to be keen just to get me in and out and didn't take the time to understand what I wanted or to get it just right. The cut was ok, but not what I was really after. The hairdresser also gave me unwanted parenting advice while cutting my hair!! I wouldn't bother going back again even though it's cheaper than a lot of places. My mum doesn't mind it for a trim, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than that.

The establishment has been beautifully renovated, however, my steak, chips and salad meal left a bit to be desired.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to around Australia - I'm very glad my Sydney friends introduced it to me! The food is beautiful and the servings are very generous. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are very helpful (they even helped in finding a dish that didn't have tomatoes in it for a friend who was allergic to them!). The only thing they could improve is better heating in winter - Sydney gets cold!

This was a great cheap place to have a Lebanese banquet to catch up with friends on a Friday evening. The food was good, the staff friendly and the atmosphere isn't bad. The belly dancer (there every Friday night apparently) was a bit of a laugh, but slightly off-putting when we were trying to eat and chat, so I'm glad she didn't go on too long!

My husband and I have only been once so far, but we really enjoyed it and will have to go back sometime. We both enjoyed our pies - his a meat one, and mine a lentil one - and we both shared a beautiful lemon tart. The coffee and chai tea was great too. They seem to have a wonderful selection of cakes and tarts etc. so we'll have to come back and try them sometime!

At $5 for kids and $8 for adults for a tour hour cruise down the river how can you go wrong?! It was a bit slow for the kids and we didn't see many dophins until we got a fair way down the river, but it was still an enjoyable activity and the cruise operator gave lots of really interesting information about the history of Port Adelaide, Torrens Island and other sites along the river. The sound system could be a bit better so it was easier to hear on the top deck (where you could enjoy the sunshine) and the boat could be a bit cleaner and food prices a bit cheaper, but other than that it was a great, cheap 2 hour holiday activity with the kids and it was pretty exciting to see dolphins in the river!

When my kids first saw it they thought it was a bit small and didn't think they would have much fun, but they certainly did! The collection of seahorses is amazing and the kids spent ages watching them and so did I! They are fascinating creatures! The boys also enjoyed patting the baby Port Jackson shark and chatting with the staff, who were all really friendly and knowledgeable. The seahorse documentary was fantastic and although the puppet play was directed at much younger kids, my kids had a good laugh!

The big German Grill was enough for both my husband and I, plus they let us take home the leftovers! There's a good selection of German beers (and enormous glasses!) and the atmosphere is great - lovely open fires and lots of history. We couldn't eat such rich German food all the time, but we'll certainly come back again sometime!
