Great little local cafe. Reasonable prices & good coffee. Very comfy & homey. Friendly service - a home away from home.
A great cinema. Cheapest tickets in town on Monday before 4 pm for $6 & after 4 pm $8 (except public holidays). Great array of snacks at the kiosk & excellent movies.
A renovated cinema in Yarraville, fixed up from an old dilapidated wreck of a shell of the old Sun theatre. Kept in the feel of the Art Deco style of the time it was originally built, but very comfy & modern at the same time. Many cinemas featuring lots of movies & a couple of new plush ones with leather lounge couches & chairs. You can even buy a mini bottle of wine to take into the cinema with you & afterwards enjoy one of their many delicious home made choc top varieties or mixed chocolate boxes. Cheap days are Mondays AND Tuesdays & for a small fee of about $10 per year you can join as a member & see cheap movies any day. A wonderful cinema experience.
This is my favourite Italian restaurant in the West. I would even say - of all time! They have the most delicious & authentic but innovative Italian food & very reasonably priced. The service is always excellent & they are really quick - especially if you let them know you have a movie to see next door at The Sun theatre.
Went there for the first time recently & was so impressed. Beautiful candlelit tables, intimate but casual feel. Great food, really nice. Very friendly & informed waiters, who gave me lots of info & advice about the menu & the wine list. I will definitely be back!
One of the best locations for a restaurant in the West - right on the each. This building used to be the old changing sheds for Williamstown beach. They also have a deck where you can sit out virtually right alongside the beach which is lovely in Summer. Last time I went the food was beautiful & even the service was great - but for the previous years I have been there on many visits the service was always slow & under staffed. We had the best waiter last time though, really friendly & informative.
A great daytime cafe for lunch or breakfast. Delicious foccacias with things like marinated mushrooms & pesto & roasted veggies. Really wholesome & filling home made soups. One of my favourite lunch time haunts.
Delicious & innovative food at reasonable cafe prices. Friendly & expert service. Child friendly, with paper on a roll & crayons for drawing & a toy box for kids to rummage through. The kid's food is also very good - no chips or deep fried/packaged or frozen kid's food. All good quality & home made. The best coffee I have had by far too! Never bitter, but creamy & smooth & served at the perfect temperature. Outside tables & water bowl for dogs.
