Cheap but quality is very poor with occasional exceptions. The stuff never smiles although works hard. Lots of dairy products on the shelves past their best before date. I don't even come near their meat and seafood - the smell is terrible and is noticeable right at the entrance to the building. They seemed to improve slightly hygiene-wise since they were fined in May 2011 but then again, I haven't been at the back of the store and the owner is known as a serial offender in this department. I stopped purchasing any food there and prefer another greengrocer's store.
Our entire family goes to this clinic. I finally found a dentist for my afraid-of-everything child :-). My husband and I go to Dr Magit - she is very gentle and explains every single step so there are never any surprises. Generally very well equipped clinic, the wait is rarely long.
On Friday 27/03/09 we (4 adults 2 children) went to for a dinner to Volcano Joe. What a disappointment! For $25 per adult we were offered cheap deep-fried seafood (train station kiosk quality), upset-looking lasagna, tough and tasteless fresh prawns and over dried fried rice and noodles. On the positive side roast vegetables, meat and poached salmon were good. When we came only two varieties of pizza were present. Later one more appeared. Fruit stand had only 5 types of fruit and watermelon could easily be firmer and redder. Deserts were the last disappointment for the evening and included caramel tarts (too bitter), something white that should have been either a pavlova or a meringue torte, chocolate and apple slices and a chocolate rice-cereal cluster (yes, the one that features in kid's cookbooks). Acknowledging that the variety and quality has dropped since this restaurant was Smorgy's we were hoping that at least the interior features will provide some excitement. Alas, the "volcano" was turned off, the huge figures at the front not lit and the fountains inside not working. In short - never again until the owner changes.

We have been using Phil's services for years. The most professional and incredibly punctual tradesman we have ever used. His quotes are not the cheapest but whatever he does he does so well that it does not require any attention for years after the repair. He does not work for any builder since, as he himself said, he cannot possibly do the substandard job most builders require from their tradesmen. We dread the day when Phil announces his retirement.
Before the owners changed a couple of years ago we absolutely loved the place. Since then we had two very disappointing issues: once we came to buy a danish and the person at the counter was mopping the floor. We ordered the danish and the preson simply put aside the mop and wanted to take the danish from the display straight away without washing the hands first or puting on gloves. Hygiene anyone? The second time was today, 6/01/09 when we tried to buy a danish again. It turned out that the manager decided to significantly reduce the size of the danish making it narrower and shorter but keeping the same price of 12.95. Not coming back until the management changes!
