Very disappointing, if you are looking for good quality clothes. Its more junky rubbish clothes that are over priced. Kitchen shops are OK. There is better around.
Great little bookshop and cafe. I get my morning coffee there, which I can recommend. The food looks good, thought I have not tried it, nice and fresh. I generally linger having a browse at the books whilst I wait for my coffee. Good selection of titles and genera - not your run of the mill bestsellers, thought they do carry some of those. They also do events with authors and kids story telling. Unlike most of Brisbane they are also open Sundays.
I have recently moved to Brisbane and needed a Doctor. My closest doctors practice is Paddington Medical Center. I have found them to be very professional and thorougher. They are open weekends and the waiting times to see a Dr are not long. My only negative is that they shut at 5.00pm during the week which is not great if you work.
UPDATE; Now 5 months into my lease and still not a single repair has been done. Rental Bond was NOT deposited with the Rental Bond Board, instead it was put into the rent ledger. How incompetent can you get. That is only my tenancy, makes you wonder.
Metro First National are the agents that you avoid at all costs if you are a property owner or a tenant. I have been a property investor for a long time. I value good long term tenants. Look after your tenants and generally they look after the property and they stay.. I have recently moved to Brisbane with the intention of renting for a year to get a feel for the place before buying. My experience with Metro First National , and I can only describe it as truly dreadful, I am now looking at buying a property sooner. Their level of communication and service is almost non existent. High turnover of staff, who are very off hand, young and rude. I have been waiting for 2 1/2 months for them to fix broken toilets, broken stair railings, leaking everything, and wait, I have not been supplied keys to open a bank of windows.. This is a sub-standard agency who offer a sub-standard service, and after all it is a service industry.. I certainly will not be buying through them or recommending them as property managers to my network of friends and fellow property investors.
