A real treasure trove of accessories. The owner has the sharpest eye for design. You may sometimes feel intimidated though as the store is so intimate.

Best selection of international menswear labels. Expect to pay high prices but for quality clothing. I love the little cafe in front of the store too - delicious coffee after a spot of shopping.

Great place to get mannequins and dressmaker dress forms. Prices are cheaper than you'll find anywhere else on-line (including eBay). It's the place where all the fashion schools source their dress forms. Highly recommended!

The cakes are very fresh and well packaged. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I've bought several cakes from here and unfortunately I've been pretty disappointed. The cakes are really rich and a bit too sweet for my liking.

Really great value prices. You can buy bulk boxes for ridiculously cheap prices. The place tends to get pretty crowded so expect to squeeze your way around. Lots of noisy sellers and shoppers.

They have wonderful exhibitions here. The place tends to be rather empty whenever I visit but it just means you can chat to the curator about the works and enjoy the works in solitude. Get on their mailing lists to be invited to openings.

The location is great (just on Flinder's Lane and near Degraves St). They have a good selection of hot and cold food. If you stay until the end of the day they usually give out free croissants or tarts. Very pleasant place but there is the odd rude waiter!

Tucked away off Collins Street. This place is really swanky. You can perch yourself on the outdoor deck area or sit inside on the plush divans. The crowd is very corporate but friendly.

This place has the best selection of non-english titles (books, dvd's and magazines). I especially love how you can put books on hold from other libraries online. The staff are super friendly and the place is truly a multicultural hub.

A great selection of videos. I especially love how you can subscribe for three months and rent unlimited DVD's (4 dvd's per day). The staff are always super friendly and they are always willing to hunt down a title for you.
