I always love to spend my weekend here especially cold winter days where its too cold to swim during winter. The water temperature is always nice and the have good pool + diving + sauna! its always nice to have sauna after a good swim. relaxing and refreshing. Although it may be a bit crowded during weekends but the pool is big enough :) if you want to avoid those crowds, try coming during weekdays.
went for this place for a quick haircut since that my regular hairdresser is not open today. i am happy that they cut my hair the way I like to and the price is quite reasonable too (but more expensive than my regular hairdresser). waiting time is not too long, although i did not make a bookings =)
to me this is one of the best brunch place in adelaide. nice environment and easily accessible by train and trams. In terms of food, i ordered the smoke trout which very rich in the smoky flavor but the portion is a bit small given the fact the price is quite expensive compared to others. their coffee is nice as well. if you are not a coffee drinker, they have a good selection of fruits and vegs juice too. a good place to hang out!
Went there for a quick lunch last weekend, the stores looks abit run down but they do offer quite a variety of selections of meals. I ordered the yiros, portion size was good but the taste is not my liking. Besides that, I did ordered the chips and gravy as too. Its good that the chips are hot, but I wished that the gravy can be more flavoursome. However, the staff is quite friendly.
Whenever i visit Hanhdorf, I will always buy the beesting from this place. This pastry is nice as soft and the cream is not too sweet as well. It goes really well with a cup of nice coffee, but too bad, they dont serve great coffee. Besides beestings they do have other pastry and cakes as well. huge selection, but i never tried them before. advice, go early because the beesting is always a sell out
I went for the degustation course meal offered by scopoon. 45 dollars per pax, to me it is quite worth it. The entree which is scallop and prawn with truffle oil is nice. The prawn is cooked to perfection and the sashimi grade scallop was fresh as well. The salad and the dressings ties everything together very well. However, the next few dishes like the kimchi rice ball and seafood bag is nothing special. But, next the coffee ribs which is their signature dish is awesome. meat is so tender and so flavoursome. The angus beef is also nice as well. They used the same dressings as the ones for the prawn. As for dessert, just a normal bailey ice cream. nothing fancy. If you are going there for ala carte, try the beef and pork ribs, to me that is their best 2 dishes
This dessert place is specialised in matcha (green tea). They have a wide range of green tea and most of their dessert is made from matcha. During my last week there, I ordered the matcha waffle. The waffle is soft and rich in matcha flavour which is my liking. furthermore, the green tea ice cream complements the waffle very well too. However, the added some raspberry syrup to decorate the plate. although it looked nice, but it spoil the flavour of the matcha flavour. such a pity. Furthermore, I did order the green tea as well. the tea is nice, and you only get two refil. To me the price of the tea is quite expensive.
Nothing spectacular about their winery and the surrounding, but they have nice wines! on my last visit there, we was served by a nice lady who has good knowledge on wines. This wine tasting experience has widen my horizons on wines. We eneded up buying half a dozens of the wine :)
I went to this place for a quick bite while visiting barossa valley last month. It has a article written about this restaurant in the tourisim magazine saying that their pies and nice. Although they have a variety of pies, but their pastry is not fluffy enough and the stuffings is abit salty. Besides pie, they do serve some main dishes as well. Nothing spectacular though. However, I love the place's decorartions. It is like travelling to a pub or bar in germany =)
This place is special is because u can choose what ingredient u can have in your bimbibap (a korean mixed rice dish), it is sort of of DIY style. They have a lot of ingredients that u can choose from and the price is reasonable as well. I love this place because it offers brown rice which is healthy =) I would recommend this to people who has special dietary requirements eg vegan or people who are choose with their food
