I'm not overly picky when it comes to fish and chips but this place tops all the others I've tried. The fish is fresh without a hint of that fishy smell & it is not dripping in oil. The batter is thin & crispy every time & the cut potato chips are nice & crunchy just the way I like them.
The Den is an institution @ Monash Uni if you're after good coffee (cheapest on campus). They serve light bites (sandwiches, sushi rolls, pies, sausage rolls, quiches) , to heavier fare (fish and chips, curries, pastas, soups, casseroles, kievs or whatever happens to be the chef's flavour of the month. Their kebabs are the best ever & I always make time to chat to the old fellow who puts them together because he puts a smile on my face. You can also pick up some decent smoothies too. Look out for the friendly faces of Sam, Wes & the rest of the crew.
Approximate cost: $6-8
Shopping at Aldi in Endeavour Hills is fun! My partner & I love the low prices for basic grocery items which are just as good if not better then brand name items from other supermarkets. We especially love that Aldi has week to week themed specials from horse riding gear to motorbike gear to camping & gardening accessories & more!
I lean towards more independent films which do not show at the mainstream cinemas. I used to frequent the chain of Palace cinemas but since moving don't have any near me. I then found this gem of a place up in the hills which has a wonderful selection of films. It's always such a pleasant experience seeing a flick at the Cameo.

Had a fuss free & friendly experience whilst purchasing a washing machine. I initially did some research on the phone & Clive Peeters by far had the best phone manner out of the 5 or so stores that I called. Going on this & being quoted a reasonable price I then decided to pop into the store where I happened upon an ex demo model which was in perfect condition...just a little dusty & the button console sticker needed replacing, but I could forgo this for $150 off the retail price.
I have been the owner of 3 Hyundai vehicles and I have been very happy with the after sales service every time. Having experienced good service at 3 different Hyundai dealers I can only assume that there must be some blanket customer service charter that is adhered to throughout the region. I bought an ex demo model from Melbourne City Hyundai who provided a fuss free transaction. A few years later I traded in another Hyundai I bought privately and purchased an ex Motor Show model from the Brighton dealer who was exceptionally helpful and not at all pushy or condescending. I was so impressed with his manner that when I went to pick the car up after completing the sale I gave him a big tin of cookies! I've experienced after sales servicing at both Brighton and Dandenong and I have been happy with the fuss free results and the very decent prices.
Priceline is always well stocked considering they have frequent catalogue specials. The store has a nice layout and I find that I can spend quite a long time wandering up and down the aisles looking at all the goodies I can pamper myself with. The staff that roam around the store are always friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to knowing such a vast range of products.
It does pay to shop around when it comes to some items as I found one personal care item that I regularly use to be $7 more than at my local Big W and this wasn't on special at either store.
