I recently dropped my 10 year old digital watch and smashed the glass. Larkins not only repaired the watch glass and restored the watch, but temporarily gave me a substitute watch while mine was being repaired because I was going interstate for a week and could not be without a watch. This was exactly what I needed.

The water supply to my house was leaking. This was evidenced by the meter still increasing despite all taps turned off. The were no signs of where the water was leaking. Val Quirk using various electronic gadgets found the leak under our paved patio after a detailed search of the property. The process took less than one hour.

A leak developed in our water supply to the house. After employing a specialist to find the hidden leak, we called Phil, acting on WOMOW recommendations, and he called in as agreed early the very next day and removed and replaced the broken connection.

We chose to visit this nearby restaurant because of the good rating on WOMOW and were not disappointed. The service and food were good and compared favorably with other curry houses. The pricing was reasonable and for $50 a double we ate well. Corkage of $5 for 2 glasses of BYO red wine was surprising, but less exorbitant than some other restaurants.

My wife and I are regular patrons because they are a short walk from home for us. The food is great, the decor pleasant, the service friendly without being intrusive, and the prices reasonable.
less than $40 per double unless you are a big eater. BYO wine. This review was first posted in 2008. We have noticed a decline in the food standard such that by early 2012 we rarely eat there. The staff are good, but the food has lost the brilliance of former years. We will continue to eat there occasionally to check on the standard. Well here it is 2013 and we have not been back. There are several other Indian restaurants within walking distance of home and they get our custom now. This is sad, because Maharani were so very good many years ago. In May 2014 - we have not been back. Bistro 309 in Centre road is our Indian Restaurant of choice currently.
June 2015 - We revisited and found the food and service quite good, but not sufficiently enticing to put them back on the favourites list.
I purchased a computer UPS from them a year ago. It has never worked correctly. After many returns to the store, checking and complete replacement of the unit it still does not work correctly. They have refused a refund and will not reply to my correspondence. Even Consumer Affairs Victoria got nowhere with them. Their warranty policy is a complete sham. The UPS is only good for a boat anchor.

I've been a long time customer buying hardware and software and have generally found them to be very helpful and to have excellent value for money products.
