The building itself looks very new and wandering through the cheese section was quite enjoyable, some lovely flavours, and we've never seen such massive lumps of cheese in their storage room. We didn't stop for food in the onsite cafe, but the menu options did sound absolutely divine, so we will go back again and spend some more time there. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and if it's overcast or you go in cooler months, rug up a little as it can get cool outside. The decor is appropriately rustic, and very relaxing with nice views down to the rest of the village shops.

We stayed a few nights here and really enjoyed it. The price was very reasonable, which included wifi, and the room was more than adequate. Comfy bed, separate lounge and table with chairs, very tidy bathroom (loved the lighting feature), and kitchen with cutlery. Staff were extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and the selection of DVDs to rent free from the office was also very welcome on the wet days we had. It is within walking distance to food, and short drive to larger shops, so very conveniently located. Parking onsite is no issue. We would happily recommend and not hesitate to stay again.

Very conveniently located to accommodation, and in a nice location overlooking the waterway (not oceanfront), we found the staff to be very friendly, and the food tasty and reasonably priced. There is plenty of outdoor dining, and it has a nice relaxed, casual atmosphere. A great place for fish and chips.

This isn't the sort of place we would frequent often, and we wouldn't return, but that's not because there was anything wrong at all exactly, we just found the drinks very rich (which is what you expect and we did know that, but thought we'd try it at least once) and it was a bit pricy. Small chocolates and macaroons are from $2 each, and while we sampled them and thought they were good, they were just too sweet for our taste. The thick Spanish chocolate was a nice taste, but like drinking chocolate soup, so after a few mouthfuls which didn't exactly slide down because of the thickness, that was about all we could have. It was definitely an experience, something to say we've done and something different to eat and drink, but go prepared to pay more for the experience. If you're the sort of person who wants a hot drink to slide down, something to really savour until the last drop, we couldn't quite do that. Staff were very friendly, and we'd recommend indoor dining in the afternoon as it gets a bit shady and cool in winter.

Dining for this cafe is predominantly outdoor on timber decking overlooking the waterway with palm tree planters offering some privacy. We found it much more peaceful and relaxing than the other inside dining options in the shopping centre. Staff were friendly and happy to accommodate a slight menu change to vegetarian which was appreciated. The corn fritters were tasty, full of corn, and the exchange from bacon to haloumi was tasty. Eggs benedict with salmon was also good, and we could order the sauce on the side. Prices were reasonable and service was prompt.

Loved the decor here with its brick walls and French styled wallpaper. There are indoor and outdoor seating options. There isn't table service so don't sit there waiting, but service was friendly and meals delivered promptly, though it was early and still fairly quiet. The vegetarian omelette was a great size, and combined with the toast which was included it was a very filling meal at a good price, great flavour but slightly burnt on the bottom. The poached eggs on avocado smash was disappointing, as the eggs were very hard and there just wasn't much flavour, not great value for money. Our drinks were nothing special and definitely not extra hot though we specifically asked for that as there's nothing worse than a lukewarm drink that you pay good money for. Our fellow guests enjoyed the Turkish Delight Mocha, which is something we haven't seen before. Overall, not a terrible experience but nothing to warrant us going back.

We've been to plenty of Subways before and our stop here was just what we expected: fresh rolls, fresh salad (great to see Beetroot as an option now!), and quick service. Our shop-a-docket which gave us 2-for-1 was fantastic value.

4 out of 5. It is a nice hotel, with some good facilities, but there are some improvements needed, not just for wants sake but for safety's sake.

An early start to our day trip meant needing to find somewhere open early enough for brekky, and so we stumbled upon Vianta. On a cooler morning the outdoor seating was lovely, though there is plenty of indoor dining for warmer days. The breakfast menu covers for all tastes, and we were pleasantly surprised at the price. Only $6.90 for eggs on toast (an extra $1.00 for Turkish), and they were deliciously soft, creamy and had a hint of fresh parsley. The vege breakfast was also great value at $10.90, a plate full of mushroom, tomato, poached egg, toast, and haloumi (as they'd run out of feta). A really nice start to the day and we wouldn't hesitate to come back.

We have a real appreciation for rustic style decor and loved so loved the indoor seating at this cafe. The timber work and greenery is something we'd have in a place of our own any day, and such a relaxing environment to enjoy what was on offer. Lovely hot drinks and delicious little coconut balls was what we sampled, but the menu with its quiches and salad etc would definitely entice us to come back. It's location is just across the road from the water, and very central to everything else in Hervey Bay. A great little find!
