I have been to The Salon three times now. The girls are lovely and make you feel right at home and the products they sell are very good quality products. However, all three times that I have gone I haven't felt completely satisfied. The first time, I asked for my long hair to be cut dramatically shorter but the hairdresser did not do this because she thought I later would not like it. But it was what I asked for. The second time I got blonde highlights, and some of them were so far away from the roots that I looked like I had done it a month ago! But other than that I was pretty satisfied. And the most recent time I went I said that I wanted to be a medium honey blonde. Unfortunately, I think the colour/toner was left in for far too long and I have large streaks of hair that are a white/grey! Not a good look (unless you're going for grandma hair)! I wish the girls would show me a colour chart, and listen to exactly what I want, rather than going ahead and doing what they think is right.

Initially, I was impressed that I managed to get an appointment at such short notice, however I could not understand a single word either one of the ladies said to me. I sat down and the young lady began to file my nails without asking me how I wanted them. So she hacked away at them, some are square, some aren't. Not great.
Then after rushing me into choosing a colour, I chose one, to be told that they'd run out of that colour. So I chose the other colour I liked (by saying the number 23 and pointing to the colour on the chart). After speaking to another customer, she returned to paint my nails with shellac polish. It wasn't until the final coat that I noticed that this colour did not resemble the colour I chose, and it was in fact colour 20. I mentioned this to the lady but I don't think she understood and she just brushed it off and continued with her work. Over all I am happy with the finish of my shellac, especially for the price, however she could have taken more care with filing and I'm a little annoyed that I'm stuck with this ugly dull shade of pink for the next couple weeks.
Overall not a great experience because I couldnt understand the women (I'm sorry if that seems racist) and I didnt get what I asked for.

I've decided to edit this review because I went back a few weeks ago as I needed my nails done for a party. I was disgusted. I had my nails done in black shellac with glitter. It lasted 2 of the 10 days shellac is supposed to last. 6 weeks later and my nails are still recovering. They are ridged and the whites are all lopsided and terrible. Now I can't grow them properly because they are so weak and they break. Also, the girl who did my nails was rude and laughed at me every time she got rough and hurt me and I tensed up. NEVER going back.
