We love our cloth nappies - and there is no better place to get them from than Chris! The company gave us a wide range of advice and let us examine and try some samples. We have continued to use this company as our little baby grows, and we are firmly convinced that cloth nappies offer a much cheaper and greener long-term advantage over disposables. I think our baby agrees!

We have used Go Dry carpet dry cleaning twice - both times after heavy rains led to damaged carpet. The first time, Bryce from the company quickly and easily saved our lovely rug from ruin, and the second time, following severe water damage to the carpet, came and professionally dried all our carpet, left us with the blow drier to ensure it was fully dry, and also took away our underlay for drying using his equipment at home. Highly recommended and friendly.

MUG drive-thru coffee is a wonderful addition for the busy commuter in Greensborough. Located of the Greensborough Highway near Yallambie, MUG allows people to drive in, while waitresses with electronic keypads come out to take your order. Interestingly, all the service staff appear to be young females, which may just be a demographic quirk rather than store policy. The coffees are usually more hit than mis, but don't order anything too specific (many differences exist in the make-up of a long macchiato, depending on who is serving, for example!). However, for those needing a good strong morning coffee fix, for convenience, speed of service and the all round great start to the day this place provides, you can't go too wronm!

We have been here several times now, and if you can get past the rather unimaginative business name, you will find a very good Italian family restaurant. This place pitches itself as being a more upmarket version of La Porchetta's down the road, and it does this extremely well. The pizza's are your standard fare, but done extremely well, with the bases always cooked to perfection, and generous quantities of toppings. This place always gets packed out on Friday and Saturday nights, and it gets extremely noisy, but in a good way! Not a pace to go for a quiet dinner, but the staff, although always having many tables to wait on, do a wonderfully professional job, and not once have they made even the slightest mistake with our order - even when we rocked up as a table of 16 (with 6 kids!) to celebrate our sons birthday.

Nestled in the hard-to-find Diamond Village shops (perfect for us locals who want to keep these places a secret for our own personal enjoyment!) is a super Indian restaurant called Curry Charmers. We have visited here twice, and both times were treated to fantastic food. The best and juiciest Garlic Naan I've ever had topped off the meal nicely. The chef, Anand, apparently volunteered an extraordinary amount of time and resources to help out the victims of the black Saturday bushfires, and the numerous laminated newspaper clippings on his window really highlight the true community spirit he brings forth. The only drawback to this restaurant is the interior design, or lack thereof. If you didn't know better, you would think this place was going for a 70s theme of suburban fish and chip takeaway shop. However, I guess this is just proof you can't judge a book by its cover, as the taste and value of the dishes we have tried (particularly the Lamb Vindaloo) was super impressive.

Greensborough is lucky to have several good quality Indian restaurants; Mehek definitely offers up an interesting, out of the ordinary experience. The owner's creations are not your usual run-of-the-mill curries, and he seems to add a certain flair to his cooking. The decor of the restaurant leaves something to be desired, as it is quite dark and a little dingy, but the food is great! One could do a lot worse than this place for a good feed.

When we first moved to Greensborough, we couldn't get enough of this place - top quality food that we all enjoyed very much. We haven't been back for a while; no real reason, other than the restaurant hasn't changed at all in the last 2 years. The staff are super friendly, and the take away menu is good quality and value. We enjoyed a very impressive Vietnamese New Year function there earlier this year, complete with firecrackers and a dancing dragon, although disappointingly the food served that day (only available as a "banquet") was disappointingly pedestrian and of poor quality, definitely out of character for this place!

Japanese dining in the suburbs is usually a pretty homogenous experience - very few suburban restaurants set themselves apart from the rest. Shiki Restaurant is one that does. Although the service (on a good night) is average, the food is sensational. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and beautifully presented, and with varieties such as octopus, unagi and scallop sushis, they step well outside the mainstream expectations. Their hot dishes are always superb too (I have had the fried chicken numerous times!), and although the prices are not "cheap", they are definitely much less than you would expect to pay for this quality of food. The atmosphere is very pleasant also, and we have been here numerous times to celebrate significant occasions (birthday and anniversary). Super restaurant.

Daniel fro
m this company came to my house, and professionally analysed and repaired my laptop. We got talking, and he even gave me some free advice on search engine optimisation for my business! A very friendly and knowledgeable chap; I used his services again when the laptop broke down again (not his fault), and I'll definitely be back if I have more IT issues
