Whale World is a must see if you are in Albany. You can also visit the Gap and Natural Bridge on the way there or back- they are worth seeing too. Whale World also has a cafe if you feel like lunch, but we did not eat there, so cannot comment. The actual tour is extremely informative and gives you a "no holds barred" commentary on exactly what whaling was like. It will certainly open your eyes! After the tour, you can take in the rest of the place at your leisure, from museum type rooms, huge display after your initial entrance, photo galleries, old ship, movie theatres (one was 3-d!) and a huge gift shop. This was definitely worth doing, and while it is a tad pricey, it is an interesting place to visit. The scenery is beautiful, and it is windy there, so wouldn't suggest going on a very cold winter's day! Overall, put it on your list if in the Albany region.

This is a must see for the south west WA traveller.

It is a real eye opener and there is no glossing over what was done here.

The guided tour is a great introduction to the place - with a very knowledgeable guide - then you can go around at your leisure to take in the plant.

The skeleton hall is a must see - especially the massive frame of the pigmy blue whale.

The displays are well set out and there is a lot of information to take in.

I took the kids here while on a trip to Albany earlier this year. It is a great piece of history. Very informative. The kids really enjoyed the place and were amazed that people used to kill whales. It is best to go in summer as it is a very cold and windy place in winter. There are a few other touristy places to see not to far from here.

I work at a local primary school & have a lot of times taken groups of children through the museum as it really helps to bring the knowledge to the children. It is well priced and I will continue to take the children there.

This is an awesome attraction to visit I took my younger cousins here for the day and they loves that they could see real whale bones and stand on the ship that's next to the buildings. It wasn't that expensive either. The ladies in the shop were lovely.

Whale world is a nice place to visit is your in albany. Has alot od interesting thinds to look at. The size of the blue whales skeleton was huge and the sign said it was a small whale. The tourers tell heaps of history about whaling. It has a cafe on the side which was very busy on my familys visit. the drive there is also relaxing. the only thing i found was it was a little pricey but still worth the visit.

The food and service is above average, but the main plus is the attitude and friendliness of the staff. When my dad and brother came to visit me in Albany last year from Scotland, even the manager of Whaleworld went out of his way to make everything easy. my dad is very frail and had dementia. My brother and I were so impressed, we have never forgotten it.

Whaleworld is a cafe, tourist attraction and shop. The cafe is sitting directly over the ocean. it is relaxing watching the water enjoying great quality food including a wide range of lovely seafood dishes. The quality is very good as are the prices and service.
