Wenatex

After attending two dinner seminars, we decided to buy the Summer System, comprising a mattress, quilt, two pillows and a herbal inlay. They 'threw in' a fitted sheet and two pillowcases.

We've had the mattress etc for a month and neither my husband nor I are overly impressed. We're both waking up with very sore shoulders and hips (pressure points) due to the mattress being so firm, and I've had pins and needles and even a completely numb arm a couple of times. Not good. The mattress sits on our wooden slat bed that we're told should be fine but they suggested we could pay an extra $3000 (!) to buy their metal frame base that has special pads instead of springs, that would in theory stop the shoulder pain, given we're both side sleepers.

The pillows cost over $300 each but despite putting in extra fill, they become flat during the night and you have to regularly plump them up to try to get comfortable. I've had to resort to putting a second pillow underneath, so my head isn't angled too far down. Sleeping on my back wasn't an option.

This is an extremely expensive system, and due to understandable hygiene reasons, it's non-returnable. Having spent $6288.00, we are wondering if we've made an expensive mistake.

On the positive side, their staff are helpful and friendly, despite taking more than a week to return messages and the quilt is soft, light and warm.

There are probably many people who are very happy with their Wenatex bed system - we may get used to it in time.
