We have used David before to repair our washing machine. Both last time, and this time, he fixed the issue and was professional in his manner.
His skills and manner are not the issue.
What is the issue is the work he created for us, in the process of being paid to fix our washing machine issue. He found the issue to be a plug of soap scum in the tubes. He initially emptied this fetid build up, into the kitchen sink, where dishes are washed. This was bad enough.
He then took the remaining blocked tube and emptied it outside. The scum blew out the tube, up the side of our newly painted house, reaching the rafters. This was unnoticed by me, until after he had gone. I was busy putting a baby to sleep whilst he was working. I tried to contact him numerous times, as we paid him to fix our machine, not to cause a cleaning issue and paint issue. I expected him to clean up after himself. He did not return my phone calls. When I finally got through, he said he had received my message and was planning to come see me later that day. He did not. He then did not answer any of my calls, nor return them. He simply sent a text saying he had noted my concern. The soap scum is still plastered on my freshly painted house walls, like bird faeces. We are now up to cleaning it ourselves, without a high ladder.
Causing a bigger issue to clean up, is not what I paid him for.
I will not be using him again. He caused more work than I had to begin with. And was not honest about it, nor did he follow up as he should have.
