Tileability

Fred from Tileability is unprofessional and untrustworthy. Don't trust his positive reviews. I trust his positive reviews, engaged him to do tiling and now I have to get someone else to redo his substandard tiling. He removed my porch tiles and meant to replace the original tiles. Some tiles had cracked in the past because they were drummy and did not have glue on them. He kept rescheduling 3 times until he came and removed my existing tiles. He was never on time. He kept delaying the work. He took 3 weeks and the tiling was still incomplete but I do not want him to return to carry out more poor workmanship and damage my porch even more. He keeps denying his poor workmanship. He did not prepared the surface before tiling, the surface was rough not evenly levelled, the tiles were not cut straight, he used the incorrect materials, there are many drummy tiles, the tile joints on the porch step and tiles around the edges of my porch have no glue, there are tile lippage, chipped tiles, he tiled on top of my pavers and he damaged one of my pavers. He will not compensate me because he doesn’t believe his work is defective. I am more likely to have loose and crack tiles in the future from Fred’s poor workmanship. I definitely do not recommend him. Look at photos of his work on Productreview. If you are looking for a professional tiler he is not one from my experience.

We hired Fred to install tiles throughout our house on top of our floor boards. He was on time, pleasant, polite and even went out of his way to pick up the extra tiles we needed to finish the job. He managed to finish the tiling job in the estimated time frame he gave us. Plus he organised a carpenter to come and shave the bottom of all the internal doors as well as the back door and made sure he came asap so we wouldn’t be without a back door for more than a day. We are very happy with the final result. We recommend Fred at Tileability to anyone looking for tiler.

Fred did an amazing job on our apartment balcony. We had an old rotting pine deck that needed removing and tiles to replace it. He was incredibly knowledgeable about what needed to be done to make the balcony more waterproof, as well as advising us on what type of tiles would be best for the space. Fred left the space spotless, despite having to cart concrete through the building and then the apartment loungeroom! Fred was a great communicator, and as the apartment is rented was excellent with dealing directly with family on site as we live 250 kms away. I couldn't recommend Fred highly enough, what we thought was going to be an ordeal was a dream. If we need any more work done, I know who we'll go to. Thanks Fred!

Fred was great in assisting us getting through the process of tiling the upper floor of our townhouse. He introduced us to a reputable tile supplier and generally calmed our nerves about embarking on, what for us, was a major undertaking. His quote was realistic, he always showed up at the time he said and we left him to do the job while we were away. The completed job looks fantastic, especially the stairs, which were a major concern for us. The job took longer than expected, mainly due to the unevenness of the concrete base, but Fred honoured his quote. We couldn't recommend Tileability more highly if you are looking for a professional and beautifully finished job.

Fred is excellent, we couldn't thank him enough for saving our bathroom tiles! Initially we were trying to tile the bathroom ourselves but after 5 weekends & numerous attempts...... wasted 3 batches of tiles, we decided to ask the professional. Fred came in to fix our entire bathroom floor tiles (It was a disaster before) and completed all the walls. Fred is super efficient (he got it done within 2 days!) and he's done an absolutely fabulous job. Besides punctual, good communication skill and good quality of work, Fred also made very good recommendation in terms of design, styling for our bathroom with his good experience... We are extremely happy and would definitely recommend Fred. - Thank you.

Fred might as well have a degree in communication - he is excellent. Always on time, always communicating if anything needed to change. He was polite, efficient and the job is now complete and absolutely beautiful. We have been in business about the same time as Fred (different industry) and you can tell his experience is worth it's weight in gold. We will have more work in time, and Fred will be our first call. Thank you so much Fred our 40 year falling apart floor tiles in our strata common property toilets look a million dollars with updated, anti slip tiles. The added bonus is I know the waterproofing is now to standard and our property will be protected from leaking. Extremely happy - Thank you.
