We have been taking our children to Rhythm Tree at Ceres since mid 2019. It's been a wonderful experience - even the periods online during Co Vid 19. Both our children have loved the classes. We've formed great friendships with our families who attend. The song books are still on their bookshelves, and we often have a sing a long before bed. Highly recommended.
"I'm just writing to let you know what a huge impression our classes with Sarah T were on our kids last year. We only attended 2 terms but I'm amazed how much the kids learnt"
Carmen, mum of Belinda (4 yrs) and Georgie (10 mths)
We have enjoyed every moment and will continue to sing the songs at home for a long time yet... The influence you have had over Sadie's musical sensibility is huge and we thank you for all the music and songs.
Emma, mum of Sadie (3 yrs)
"Thank you for making music with us. All the fun and inspiration has helped us transition our life from Taiwan to Australia. Music has no age limit. Music has no borders. Music is all about heart! I think all my kids love Gillian just as much as they love exMT teacher Vivi in Taiwan. I truly hope this can help any parent who is considering the benefits of Music Together. We have been coming for over 3 years and are so grateful to see the impact now."
Dear Gillian, Thank you for making not only our Mondays such joyous days but for all the fun and inspiration that have come from your classes and spread throughout our days & nights & into so many aspects of our lives. We feel so fortunate to have spent the year with you. Nerida, mum to Quinn (2yrs 10 mths)
"We would like acknowledge how wonderful Miss Charin is. She brought my 2 year old out of his shell and he loved her so much. She was also amazing at supporting me with a 6 month old during the lessons and helping to include both children during the lessons." Katrina, mum of Johannes 2y 3mths and Maya 8 mths.
"Thank you so much for a few years of wonderful classes, that started earlier with my daughter Alice. We have so enjoyed our time with Gillian and now Matilda, it will be a treasured memory from their childhood.
Christine (mum to Alice, 6 and Lachie, 4)
These classes are wonderful. The music is great for the little ones and for the parents. We listen to the CDs in the car and at home, and it always gets a positive reaction from my daughter. Both teachers we have had have been excellent.
I cannot speak highly enough about Sarah and the RhythmTree. My little one has just turned three and we’ve been prileged enough to not have missed a class since she was about 8 months old. I am a vocalist/musician myself and know how good music is for the soul. But witnessing the blossoming of my girl in the classes has reinforced my belief that music is also fundamental for the development of language, clear communication, confidence, coordination, memory and of course community. Sarah has been a light and a blessing to children and parents alike. The children adore her and her classes are the highlight of our week. The program is sophisticated enough for ever-curious little minds and simple enough for babies and reserved grown ups to jump in with both feet thumping. My only suggestion would be to up the local content. Indeginous songs and references? I recall Sarah once singing a local lullaby and it wound its way into my heart first time round.
We love you guys. We love you Sarah. Thank our good fortune we’ve been able to access this beautiful program.
My 2 yr old boy has been coming to the rythem tree since he was 8 months old. He didn’t seem to be engaged much initially but I believe he has been taking it all in. The kids have their own way to respond to music. I have to say that I enjoy it just as much as he does. The facilitators are very welcoming and creating a warm and relaxing musical world for adults and children to enjoy. It has been a great way to bond with my little one. In there, children can be children and music is for them to enjoy and appreciate rather than “learning”. Thank you the rythem tree!
Sarah is an excellent singer, full of energy and really engaging. The activities were great for my little one and I. Lots of fun.
I first took my twin daughters to the Rhythm Tree when they were 10-Months old and I wasn’t sure if they’d be too young to appreciate it, but I was wrong. Since the first session they both started to clap and move to music wherever they heard it and even to this day (they’re 19-months old now), music brings them so much joy (and us peace and quiet!). But it’s more than that, they recognise tunes and have clear favourites. The community spirit of the Rythm Tree and the focus on musical play (rather than ‘discipline’) has really enriched our lives. We are now a playful musical family where having fun with music is a very important element that brings us joy and togetherness. We were not like this before the Rhythm Tree, so it’s made a huge impact on our entire family. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Approximate cost: $240
The Rhythm Tree music classes have opened up my sons eyes to all things music. Before starting these classes he had minimal interest in music or instruments. Since starting lessons, a whole new world has been opened up to him. He does these classes with his nanny on the days that I work and it’s such a special bond that they have created. We have the CD playing all day everyday. Thankyou to The Rhythm Tree for the most wonderful gift you have given my son... music!!!
We absolutely love The Rhythm Tree. The classes are so well structured with a 100 percent focus on music, both vocal and instrumental. Gillian is a wonderful instructor with a fantastic voice. The CDs that are provided each term have been so great for my 2 year old. She's learnt so many words from singing the songs and is becoming more confident in her musical abilities each day. It's been great having access to all the songs via the phone app too. Thank you for making our Friday mornings so enjoyable!
My 18 month old son is quite reserved and hesitant when starting new classes. However, the moment we walked thru the door, Vannie's warm welcome has put him at ease almost straightaway. With her engaging personality and friendly smile, every week she puts a smile on both kids and parents. Class wise, the music is easy to enjoy and activities are entertaining enough to keep the kids occupied. Sometimes, i reckon we parents have more fun! Keep up the good work guys! Will definitely recommend this to family and friends.
2017 April, we begin our musical journey with Rhythm Tree. After 14 Months class with Gillian what I can say is: give music, time and patient to your child; they will show you what a surprise one day.
We have enrolled our 18month old son in a couple of music based classes and this has been far and away the best one. The course materials are generous and well produced and Charinne, our teacher, is always so engaging and encouraging (even when the children aren't wholly interacting with the class) and adds in some physiological explanation for why certain sounds are important to encourage.
Great class, good value and lots of fun!
A beautiful opportunity to explore music with your child. My daughter Eleanor got so much from each class, both playing music and seeing the adults she loves enjoying it so much.
My daughter just loves our Rhythm Tree class every week and it is a special time for us to spend together in a lovely community setting. Her engagement with the music and activities has grown so much and I really think Rhythm Tree is a great start to a child’s musical education.
I really enjoy being able to bring both of my kids to this activity. They both love the program and Sarah! Thanks Rhythm tree
My 2.5 year old son has been attending The Rhythm Tree classes since he was 3 months old. We both absolutely love the class and i find i get as much out of it as he does! It gives me idea's for being creative with music at home and has definitely helped incorporate music into our everyday life. It has been so wonderful watching him become musical over the years and we look forward to this class on a weekly basis.
What a fabulous activity for children that allows them to freely express themselves whilst learning about music, dance, rhythm , being with other children all in a very fun relaxed manner.
My 2 year old and I equally love our music class each week. Engaging, fun, welcoming, with beautiful songs and fantastic resources. Rhythm Tree has become one of the highlights of our week and our house is always full of music these days, inspired by these classes! Highly recommend
This is a brilliant class run in a really calm and welcoming environment for children and parents/carers alike. Although I was the only dad, I felt completely at ease by the teacher.
That the class is based on beat and rhythm rather than pop songs really means they stick in my and my child's head. I can't recommend the course high enough becuase you can play the CD or songs on the app at home and in the car to learn them and make the subsequent classes more interactive.
My 1 year old loves it and I thoroughly enjoy it too. Rhythm Tree has introduces Holly to a wide range of quality music. The CD's that come with registration each term make great music for the car that doesn't irritate the adults!
Professional, fun and welcoming environment. Evidence based and engaging program. We went first when my daughter was 10 months old and have returned at 2 1/2 years. We love it :)
My almost 3-year old has been going to Rhythm Tree since he was about 4 months old. We have continued to enjoy each session even now. What I like about the program is that there is no expectation for children to be "good" - rather the focus is on letting children be children, and music is something to be enjoyed as a family. The music that we get from the classes are now part of our daily lives. We play them at home and in the car. The teachers that we have had are amazing facilitators. We have highly recommended this program to our friends and family.
Beautiful music class for multi ages. Unique diverse songs. Wonderful leaders. The children love it. Highly recommended.
I have been going to Rhythm three for over 2 years with both my kids and it’s just the best fun and my kids have love it. They have gotten so much from the class and singing has become our daily life
We have just finished our first term and have loved the Rhythm Tree music sessions at Doncaster. Gillian is truly a wonder. Her patience and skill is evident in the way she seamlessly engages kids of all ages, and changes things up on the fly when she senses attention is wavering. My kids (2 & 4) have flourished in the relaxed and friendly environment and look forward to our classes with gusto. Most importantly, we have a fun activity to go to as a family (it’s so wonderfu the kids aren’t separated based on age) which has allowed us to connect together through music, both in the classes and throughout the week at home via the CD and the app. Highly recommend!
