Write a reviewThe Hungry Monkey is new in Kiama but has had instant success and reviews. It is open from 6.30 for breakfast and then lunch and then dinner. We got confused as we went there first for dinner and were welcomed as if in a restaurant. We were shown to a table, seated, given menus, order taken etc.etc. When we went for lunch on another day we expected the same treatment. It was not made clear that we had to seat ourselves and get our own menus and go to a not so obvious counter, order and pay. It was a busy day and a little annoying.
However, The Hungry Monkey sells itself with excellent food and drinks. It's not cheap so be careful what you order! Most dishes are are around $12 but if you order sides then it gets towards $20. Add a few drinks and you are well over a hundred dollars for a family. It is worth it as the quality and taste of the food is priceless.
Online reviews average 4.5/5 which is still pretty good.
