This isn't one of the best cafe's I have been to. The food is average, but their cakes are nice and enjoyable. The thing that makes me avoid this place is the rude staff behind the counter. As there isn't much to choose from in the Rosbud Plaza food court this is usually the place I go to eat for lack of anything better.

Sometimes i reluctantly eat there because i can't decide on anything else in such a small food court. The taste and the food is reasonably good. But the service needs to be lifted dramatically. They are a bit friendly but definitely do not know how to smile. The biggest problem that i have eating at this place is paying $11 for a focaccia and the rest of their prices are not any better. I had lunch with my wife at the gourmet galley only 1 month ago. We both ordered a chicken cheese & avacado focaccia straight from their menu board which was not as big as most focaccia's you get in other places (about the size of a small hamburger bun) and a Latte each. The bill came to $29.60. Thats $11 ea focaccia & $3.60 ea coffee. The only reason that some people go back there is because they have a good variety of food in such a small food court. If they would just lower their prices to an affordable amount more people would eat there instead of searching around for something that we can all afford.

Approximate cost: $Too Much$$$

I'm in two minds about this one because my experiences there have always varied.

It is definitely the busiest eatery in Rosebud Plaza and has lots of regulars so there must be something there that keeps them coming back. It can only be the friendly and attentive wait staff and the decent coffee and cakes, because the staff behind the counter aren't the friendliest mob, they seldom smile or make small talk and the hot food is expensive and its quality varies from day to day.

I do have to give them a thumbs-up for their cheap take away hot chips though. A small bucket of chips will only cost you a couple of bucks but it's a decent size serving for a 'small'.

So for coffee, cake and take-away hot chips this place is a safe option, but I wouldn't recommend any food from the hot menu unless you're in a 'I'll take my chances' kind of mood.
