Great food but a little expensive, however perfect for it location in the middle of Mitchell Street. Can be a little hot at times as its open air. Seating is something different.
I prefer the takeaway option.
Approximate cost: $30
GREAT atmosphere. Get to eat upstairs on cushions with great Thai artwork and sculptures. Food has always been chunky and colourful (but that's how I like it). However a lot of the times the bar is terribly slow for drinks to arrive, a lot of staff rotations and few speak English (or understand your orders).
Once took a girlfriend there and her food never came out. Asked our non-English speaking waiter 3 times where it was but he didn't have a clue what we were saying!!
We decided to have dinner at this joint in Darwin central as it's located along the main Mitchell Street.
Location is good, ambiance is nice- u get to walk up the stairs and sit on top overlooking the streets at night time.
However food was a let down. The Pad Thai chicken was too sweet and lack of crushed peanuts topping.
The cashew stir fry chicken was something I could even cooked at home. It's not fantastic Thai food in Darwin central. Perhaps other Asian restaurants served better food. Price was so-so only
Approximate cost: $20-$30.00
Dined here three times while visiting Darwin. First two were good, but third was awful. Seating is not very comfortable. Service is quite slow.
Great food, but not great value. Quite expensive, although most food in Darwin is. They are4 great for dine in or take away. All of their food is very fresh and the flavours are lovely. My favourite Thai restaurant in Darwin.
Approximate cost: $17
One of my most favourite places in Darwin. I live in Melbourne now but I still have cravings for Thailicious. Great service, atmosphere, location and The yummiest food. You can choose to sit on the floor or at tables - sounds strange but it's great. They offer take away and delivery. Open some days for lunch although I don't remember which days.
