We have been going to Tea & Rice for many years now and it has always been a pleasurable experience.
We hadn't been for a long time and had a friend come over, so decided to take them for a delicious Chinese meal.
The owner was the same, but boy, were we disappointed. The food was disgusting. We ordered a Thai Chicken curry that was very gluggy and tasteless. This has always been one of the dishes we have enjoyed previously. We sent it back and chose a Satay Chicken instead. This was slightly better but no way did it resemble a Satay Chicken that I had ever had before. The other dish we ordered was a Sweet & Sour fish in batter, also one of the dishes we have enjoyed on previous occasions. This was also fairly tasteless and the batter was thick and floury. The vegetable spring rolls were also tasteless. The only things that were any good were the dim sims and steamed rice.
I will never set foot in this restaurant again, which is a shame.

Always consistently good all round, with some dishes an absolute standout. (Spicy Salt Calamari - simple, but just amazing!) Good service, lovely and friendly with highly attentive staff.
My partner and I eat here after, food is always of good quality, served very quickly. Calamari is particularly delicious. Highly recommended!
We love this place it is a nice small little place. The food is always top quality and the prices are very reasonable. Great place to take the family.

The only reason we went to Tea & Rice was because they were open quite late! I think the kitchen closes after 9.30pm. We were pleasantly surprised- good value Chinese food. The Pepper steak is always really tender and the servings are good value. They will also tell you if they think you are ordering too much and will do 1/2 serve of vegetables .
I get take away from Tea & Rice frequently and I'm always happy with their service. The food is fresh and tasty and they're pretty quick with orders. It's a nice restaurant to dine in as well.
