The meals we ordered were delivered to our table in a professional manner. We had chicken schnitzel topped with bacon cheese sweet chilli sauce and sour cream. Absolutely amazing it was mouth watering.well done Sussex hotel we will be back.

Went to the Sussex hotel last Friday for dinner. Meal was good BUT I went to the bar for a drink, waited a while and the barman came up and I asked for a pint of Stout.
I was told that I had to get in the queue with those ordering meals to get a drink as they only had 2 tills.
I waited nearly 10 minutes for my drink.
If this hotel continues to treat customers this way it will soon go broke.
I was told it was under new management.
If so, I would suggest they get their act together.
We won't be coming back.

It was the first time we've been there and it won't be the last! Lovely dining rooms, great service and all four of us had very good meals. I had a chicken fillet but didn't want the sweet chilli on it. No problem at all. A great evening.

Came here for lunch with some friends. The old hotel has been well done up and is now modern and trendy. The tables are well presented, the staff friendly and an extensive menu. However it is not the cheapest menu around for lunch. I had the avocado and prawn salad and enjoyed it but felt if was overpriced. (24) I can see that it would appeal to younger age group maybe. (not those retired)

The Sussex Hotel has been done up and is very appealling in decor and design. They have a lovely beer garden fully equipped with heaters etc. for those cold nights. The restaurant is very cosy and overlooks the beer garden. They have a decent menu, but I think some of the prices are a little on the pricey side for what you are served, but most places are heading in the same direction. I have also been here for a couple Christmas events over the years which have been very delightful.
