Really good value for money. Better than any other place I have found locally. Definitely be back again.

Food is great. Sadly the language from the staff leaves a lot to be desired. Glad I didn't have children with me tonight lost count of the number of times I heard the f bomb, and heard about somebody's sex life whilst waiting for my food.

Went here as our regular one was shut and going by the reviews this was recommended. Phoned in order, husband went to collect as planned and they had forgotten order. Ordered meal for two with one fish battered and one crumbled. After a very long wait, handed order. On return home discovered both fish crumbled, barely warm, no salad as advertised and ordered and only a handful of chips, I counted 12 chips. Very disappointed. Will not be visiting here again.

Ventured here again tonight,been a hand ful of times and usually,pretty good.
Tonight we orderd the fish n chips for $12 ,one each,bottle of drink and 3 seafood sticks. The pack includes cod,chips,potato scallop and calalmari.Chips are always lovely,cooked perfectly and not greasy .for a serve of chips for 2 tho its far too much,we could feed 4 people,good value for money but a waste when only 2 of us.

Seafood sticks are perfect,potato scallops tonight were so thin that I missed the potato and only had crispy batter by the taste of it,plus the slice was only half .
Fish is huge and the best value but didnt taste like cod tonight,quite thick on one end but was a gray meat on the other . .little,disappointing waiting just on half an hr also with 2 people before us,2 waiting outside and numerous pick ups. 5 people working there and its still rather slow I feel. Shop is lovely and clean and bright. Just a bit of a let down tonight.

Great food and service. Best chips and fish I've had in a long time. I've been back a few times and every time they nail it.
Cant say enough good about this place. Aussies as well. Friendly,fast service,can ring orders thru and ready to collect .
Our first visit was pleasantly surprised.
We had the family banquet ,to feed 4 of us. Cod,calamari to die for,seafood bites,chips and sauce. We bought extra potato scallops,seafood sticks.corn jack. The food is lightly battered,not greasy, wrapped on a tray . We coudnt get thru the chips tho lol so much. Well worth the money.freshly cooked and tasted great.thick huge pieces of fish. Golden crispy chips and scallops. Place is fairly big, bright and clean. Will go back again when in bris.will try the burgers next time

We ordered the crumbed snapper, minimum chips and a couple of potato scallops. The fish was fresh and well cooked, the chips and potato scallops were excellent, and done in fresh oil.
The staff were quick and friendly, the premises were clean with the fish on display in the front cabinet.
wow what a great place to eat, nice friendly staff good fresh food easy parking and prices that are easy on the purse. Now I've found it ill be back

The food is always fresh and oil seems to be changed frequently judging by the taste of the food and I use this business fairly often for take out, the chips are always crisp and adding chicken salt makes them the best tasting chips on the northside of brisbane without a doubt. i wouldn't recommend the burgers as i feel they are a bit bland but all the fried food options are fresh and cooked well. closed sunday and thursday.

we are regulars their since the new owners took over early 2012
and the service and quality remain great. Best thing is they are open till 730pm tue-sun and apart from the burgers they keep cooking til the closing time no knocking off early.

Lots of off street parking TV to pass the time while you wait and a 24 hr atm everything you need. Seating outside and a bottleshop nextdoor to wash down the meal.

I much needed addition to the Wavell Heights area. The fish is fresh and fried foods non-greasy. The shop is clean and run by friendly locals who know their business.
best fish and chip store around, the staff are always so happy and friendly and the food is yummy and well priced, the service is fast too. i will always go back to my local fish and chip shop.

i have never been to the spotted cod before this was my first time eating/ordering from this store it tasted great and the prices are reasonable for the amount giving in the meal's it was good overall

After my first dining experience at Spotted Cod i found myself coming back for more, more times than i could count. The food is fantastic and the service brings a smile to your face. A really friendly environment with some handy shops and even a gym right next door! Its phenomenal how this shop doesn't have a waiting line that stretches for miles.

The 'Spotted Cod' is where our family eats at least once a fortnight. The owners are extremely nice and love to interact with our children. The prices are reasonable, and our favourite is the half seafood basket for $9.
