I wish I could give more starts than just 5 * They looked after my puppy all night even sleeping on a blow-up next to him after he was really sick from drinking sea water, this is truly the best vets in Australia

I very happy and satisfied how Dr Sam went above and care to tread my dog Max and kept me constantly updated about his condition.. and has treated Max like his own.. and now Max is home to recover and every day Dr Sam ask me about Max recovery..

After a stressful several days of trying to find a vet to help and being knocked back by emergency vets, I had a consult with Dr Sam, but before I get to that I want to praise the beautiful receptionists and staff he has working for him. After days of vet staff with no compassion or customer service skills it was so refreshing to feel like I was valued and my pet was valued. Dr Sam is equally as wonderful and I will never change clinics again. There’s always availability the prices are reasonable and they even have a concierge service, LIKE OMG WHAT! They have seperate entries for anxious dogs and pets like mine. I cannot fault them at all. Very very happy

So dissapointed to see someone who is well educated make such uneducated statements. Especially someone who is suppose to be "in it" for the animals. Any dog can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Owners are at fault 9/10 times. Therefore, im all for owners getting a license for compulsary dog training with ANY breed big or small.

I will be making all my family in NSW with animals aware of this negativity and discrimination towards such a truly beautiful misjudged breed. Regards an actual animal lover.

From the minute you walk in, until the minute you pick up your baby, you are treated like your pet is the only pet in the world. Updates all through the day, and not just auto sms. They have a love for your pets well being.

Avoid Dr Kovac he doesn’t love all animals and wants certain innocent dogs euthanised

I love this clinic! Great staff, very friendly and knowledgable. I could not recommend this place any higher. They even dropped off drugs for my dog as I couldn't leave the house because of COVID. Makes me enjoy taking my dog to the vet.

What kind of vet wants to wipe out a breed , makes me think he has no idea or been around many Amstaffs.

Cannot endorse a vet who publicly denounced a breed of dog without appearing to research the breed.

Would give less than one star is I could. They personally call for bans on certain breeds. This is very unprofessional and uneducated. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VET HERE. Absolute money grabbers.

Legislation requires that pups flying to new homes require a fit to fly certificate. Having completely forgotten to obtain this prior to attending airport at 6.45am and being no where close to home, I was extremely lucky to find the amazing team at Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic.

These guys did their absolute utmost to fit me in, check over the pup, provide me with the certificate and still allow me time to return to the airport by 8.00am at the absolute latest.

The pup made the flight and I will be forever grateful to these guys and their amazing team effort.

The service provided on the day was exceptional. Highly recommended.

Dr Sam has cared for my dogs from the beginning. I have so much faith and trust in everything he says. Prior to finding Dr Sam, I had taken my 11 week old puppy to three other vets who told me that I needed to put her down due to a multi resistant uti that would not clear with antibiotics! well, after booking in her euthanasia at a clinic nearby, we decided to make the most of the pup's last days by taking her down to a park where I had met a lady who DEMANDED I see Dr Sam, here I thought, why not, I have nothing else to lose... well, today my baby turns 6 years old... all because of Dr Sam, who never failed to give up on my baby. First go he cleared her infection and I had my faith restored. After moving to QLD in a smaller town I have been unfortunate to not be able to continue care with Dr Sam due to relocation, and have failed to find another vet as accurate and as trustworthy, in fact, I second guess everything they say up here. Well, I have kept in touch with Dr Sam and his clinics on social media and after finding out he can now practice in QLD my dreams have come true. He was able to recently assist me with one of my dog's pregnancies and had been my support and backbone right through to the birth and after birth... holy wow I feel so lucky to have Dr Sam be there whenever my babies need him. I have full faith in Dr Sam.

Coming from the country originally I’m used to service with a smile and vets that are personable not clinical, going that extra mile to make you feel your pets well-being is cared for.

I cannot recommend southern cross vets St Peters branch highly enough for this reason and also the follow up service they offer after visits or procedures

A big shout out goes to Dr Ben whom recently delivered a healthy litter of puppies for my French bulldog!! He did an outstanding job in a tough situation

Really worth giving these guys a try if you are looking for confidence and quality.

I rang all over Sydney to see if any vet including my regular vet practice would desex and extract my dogs tooth. She has a hormonal problem. Paid and continually pay for all her basic medicines but could not afford a potential vet bill of $800 upwards. MY DOG WAS DUMPED IN A LOCAL PARK. The RSPCA will charge you, the council won't do it. Saw this vets website and it was a miracle I did. They spoke to Sam and he is going to do both operations for $0000. They have a wonderful programme called hope. They also have a payment plan for those who are struggling. MY DOG IS A SENIOR, no one will adopt her they all want younger dogs. I don't I am keeping this one. FOR SHAME ON THE GOV AND LOCAL COUNCILS FOR NOT DESEXING ANIMALS,.... DISGUSTING.

SCV really deserves 6/5 stars. The team, led by the knowledgeable, good-hearted Dr Sam, is amazing. They treat my pets and I like we are the most important clients they could ever have and I see them treat others with the same respect. They do what is best for the pets - not their own revenue stream (Eastern Suburbs vets, I'm looking at you.)

Yesterday, I took in my nearly 17-year old staffy, who obviously was in pain (age does that). Over the past six months, she had been getting 'slower' which I figured was normal. Dr Sam gave me several option across a range of prices and we agreed on a treatment. After24 hours, it's amazing how much better she is - back doing thing she'd stopped doing like following around the house and greeting me at the door. I've also had equally good experiences with my very skittish cat (house visit!!!) and cavoidle.

After four decades of owning pets, I feel qualified enough to say Southern Cross Vet is the best animal care out there.

(Obviously I'm writing all this on a complete high from my dog's miracle turn-around!!!)

The Southern Cross Vet team are fabulous. My dog Lulu has been taken care of with exemplary service since she was a puppy. They really care about the animals and their owners. Lulu also loves going to Doggie Day care there.

Dr Sam and his staff are attentive, friendly and take the time needed when it comes to the treasures of our lives. I recommend them HIGHLY for anyone who wants to have their fur-children the focus of attention and know they're being looked after.

I've never been so impressed with a vet practice ! State of the technology and the friendliest staff that I've ever met. My dogs are I always being treated to the best of care.

Honestly if you are one of those people who are unsure of vets and hesitant to trust vets, you are only in the safest of hands and I cannot recommend SCVC anymore than 100%.
Their extensive knowledge to the animals makes you feel relaxed that you will actually have a solution to your pets needs, not a ride in the park with other vets that wish to scam you for the money.
Another amazing quality that the clinic has is remembering each and every client and their belovered pets.
One of the most valuable things as a customer is to be welcomed in knowing that they know who you are, they are such a bright, bubbly group and there is simply no other place!

My dogs deserve the best and they definitely get the best from Sam and his team!
There is no one-size-fits-all approach here. Each patient gets personalised care and treatment options are discussed thoroughly.
My older dogs have had a number of complex health issues. Sam went the extra mile to ensure that both the symptoms and the underlying causes were treated.

I highly recommend Southern Cross Veterinary clinic! My dog had to get a tooth pulled out there. Very happy with their service.

These guys are the best! Always helpful and flexible, giving great advice we trust. We've faced some complex issues in adopting a rescue dog but we Wouldn't take George anywhere else!

SCVC is definitely worth taking your precious pet to. I have made several visits to Dr Sam's vetinary clinic and have received only the best, most dedicated and quality care for my groodle. At six months Chloe was run over by a car and I am certain that it was the staff at this vet that helped her make a full recovery with no evidence now of every having had this accident. I was notified at every stage of her treatment by phone and received follow up calls making sure everything was ok. They have reasonable fees for all the things I have had to take my dog in for. Everyone I speak to at the dog park has only good things to say about SCVC. I can't recommend them highly enough. What is also lovely is that they look after the dogs of people who are not so fortunate in our community. I also know I can pop in any time and chat and weigh my dog - they clearly love all animals and care for them with integrity and skill.

Definitely the best experience for my neurotic cat. She did not need a tranquilizer and she was made to feel at home and was purring during the exam!.

My Cat Tyson got hit by a car last year & his front jaw broke,initially I took him to Uni hospital since it was 3.00am,they stabilized him till I transferred him to Sam in the morning....Sam & team were waiting for Tyson & performed great work..It was a long healing process with great after care contact..His jawline was just like new.....Thank you Sam & wonderful team,you always strive for Excellence & I hope that never changes!"

In a nutshell, before meeting Sam and his crew I was very frustrated and disappointed with the service I was getting from other vet clinics. My dog Bunjii was suffering to the point where I thought it was time to say good-bye. Then we met Sam, he was kind, professional and showed empathy to what we were going through. I let him take the reins and the results were unbelievable. We'd just like to thank Sam and his crew for giving Bunjii his bounce back, even though he's 15 years old he acts like a puppy again. We can't thank you enough. If you really love your pet(s), we can highly recommend Sam and his crew for their professional service and dedication to helping our beloved animals.

Sam, Emma and all the staff at Southern Cross Veterinary Clinic are without doubt the best team I have ever come across. Nothing is too much trouble and the overall service is faultless.
