My microwave motor broke and needed replacement. Sam from SMS Electronics was a life saver: his business is opened on Saturday morning which was great since I work full time and it was hard otherwise to arrange the time to drop off the microwave; his price was very-very reasonable and I was advised upfront about the final cost, so no surprises; I had my microwave back in 1.5 days working properly. No-frills old fashion business. Sam is also open and clear about when it is worth repairing an appliance and when not.
I needed to get a dryer fixed urgently and wanted to take it out to someone rather than have someone come to the house to fix it. I dropped it off and a quote was provided within half a day and the dryer ready to collect in two days.
