I recently moved back to Victoria after living interstate for 14 years and needed to find a new accountant. I rang Gary based on the excellent reviews I read about him online and he fitted me in for an appointment the next day. True to his good reputation, Gary proved to be professional, informed and truly patient, encouraging me to take the time to check my bank account online about membership fees I pay and un be known to me can claim for, while he waited, in order to maximise my tax refund. Lovely personable bloke who deserves the great reviews and the extra business!
Going to an accountant is like going to doctor. One feels vulnerable and ill at ease, at least for me. Gary made me feel immediately relaxed and that I was in good hands. He guided me through the process, answered my all questions, and got me a great refund quickly and efficiently. Needless to say, he has my ongoing loyalty and custom. Highly recommended!

Gary does my tax for my regular income as well as my work as an artist and he is amazing. Unlike other accountants who had me send my calculations in with no guidance about what I could or couldn't claim, Gary sat with me for over an hour going through all my receipts and making sure I got the best return possible. He even re-submitted my previous year's return done by a 'top' Arts industry accountant and got me more money!
I can't recommend him highly enough. Lovely guy, very funny, and great results.

I hadn't done my tax in many years when I went to see Gary; he was both efficient and patient, ensuring I had the best outcome and a healthy return. We have since seen him every year and he has made taxtime a breeze!
As it is my first year as a sole trader I was a little nervous about doing my end of year tax return. Gary put me at ease and is a funny guy. I spent an hour and half with him and ended up submitting my tax return with a very good result. Gary was patient with me as I rung around gaining the info I was missing.
I used Gary after reading reviews on WOMOW and the experience was first rate. Gary's style is warm, personable and you feel like you are in safe hands. The turnaround is fast and the service excellent.
I was extremely impressed by Gary's customer service! I rang at the last minute and he managed to still fit me in to have my personal Tax Return done. It took me longer to get to his office than I expected, but each time I called Gary to let him know he was understanding and patient. And, he still didn't rush through the appointment! He is very approachable and friendly, and made me feel at ease by crunching all of the necessary numbers - which isn't my strong suit :-). He asked me relevant questions and explained things along the way. It is obvious he has great accounting knowledge and skills! I highly recommend Gary to anyone requiring any accounting work done.
Got his details from WOMOW and I wasn't disappointed. He made me feel very relaxed during the whole process, asked me a long list of questions, made me think of things I never even thought of but also made it a very interesting experience.
Gary has done my business and personal tax returns for the last few years. He has also answered my tax related questions throughout the year.
He is friendly and easy-going. I enjoy my visits to my accountant!
I hadn't completed my tax for a copuple of years becauase I couldn't find an accountant I was happy with... until last week that was.... on a friends recomendation I went to see Gary Smith .. and well he was fast, efficient, and very nice.
