Smarty Host

Hosted my business website under the business hosting package. This was going along fine until the server was going down each night for a few minutes. Support just said the there was nothing they could do about it. One Saturday the website was down for the whole day and I was unable to contact Support as they are only open in business hours! This was really detrimental to my business (losing lost of customers who order online) so I promptly moved to a more professional and expensive service provider!

I've hosted lots of sites with smartyhost, and although their online systems are pretty good and their rates are pretty reasonable, their customer service initially was terrible ... although it has picked up a little lately i've noticed.

I used Smartyhost back a few years ago. They were one of the first and cheapest web-hosting around. I have had no problems with this provider. Everything worked fine and as far as I am aware, the sites I host there are up pretty much 99% of the time. Best if you buy a domain name and space from them together so it's easier for them to link them together for you.

Signed up for SmartyHost 40 buck website over the internet, thinking too cheap to be worthwhile, but 40 bucks wasn't much to lose if no good. I have been very pleased. They provide a tool which makes it very easy to create your website. They have hosted our website for 6 months now and we have had no problems, the few times I have needed support, their customer service has been great
