Purchased a guitar from a person in SA , in November . It is now late December . They have lost the package , their customers service says they’re trying to locate the carrier.
They are incompetent and unreliable.
NEVER USE THEM IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE

Broken Tv by them. I done and paid extra for insurance. Still got reply that they can’t do anything about it. Useless people and company. NEVER USE SMART SEND.

Smart Send have failed in delivery expectations and their customer service but that can happen in any firm. The issue that really frustrates is that Smart Send WILL NOT ESCALATE MY COMPLAINT TO THE COMPLAINTS TEAM - I have now sent 4 emails thanking the Smart Send representative for their email but asking to have the matter escalated to the complaints team. Perhaps number 5 will be successful. NEVER TRUST A FIRM THAT IS AFRAID TO ESCALATE A MATTER TO THEIR COMPLAINTS TEAM!!!!!!!

Unfortunately they are cheats, I did not learn the first time when they said I measured a box wrong and then charged me retrospectively. Then when a box went missing from a courier they claimed it had been delivered, beware of them

This company is just terrible. Not only do they not deliver when they say they will, they hand the item off to Australia Post (but still charge their fee) and their customer service is non-existent. The IM system is always offline, they don’t respond to either messages or emails, and their delivery advice in no way reflects what is going on. There doesn’t appear to be any way to actually get in touch with them and resolve the issue. In the mean time, my supplier is the one who will ultimately pay the price, as I won’t buy from them again unless they can guarantee they won’t use Smart Send to deliver my goods (and I won’t be buying from anyone else who uses them either). I could have walked to Sydney and back to collect my item in the time it has taken them to not deliver it. And I have wasted 3 days waiting at home for them. Still waiting for my item, and an apology.

Beware ! They seem to be trying a dodgy way to make more money. Wait for a month after you send freight and then send you a Bill claiming you Underestimated size.

I got stung by this one - very carefully measured two crates I was sending and yet got a demand a month afterwards claiming I underestimated size. The Carriers measurements were very, very rough and in one case the cubic measurement was out by a factor of 3 but they still insisted that their measurements were correct.

I suggest you give them a wide berth even though though they are relatively cheap.
