My aircon had very low cabin air pressure and not as cold as it used to be. Thought it may need a regas so booked it in here. Told me $150 for regas plus $25 for the leak check. I take it in and this person tells me that the cabin air pressure is low and that is due to lint clogging the unit. The person said they would need to pull the glove box out and get into the unit with a special tool that removes all the lint (2 hour job plus service and regas). Quotes me $200 for regas and service plus another $250 to remove the lint from the system. Booked it in for the following week They say this may still not fix it but they were sure they could get it bettersetting me up for a new system I now suspect. Went home and did some research on this myself online. As any aircon tech will tell you ..low cabin pressure? Change the cabin filter fist thing. . 1.I was there for half hour. In the entire time the person never once mentioned filters 2.Showed me a diagram of the aircon unit and explained how the lint would be right through it 3.This fix took me all of six minutes at a cost of $43 dollars for a new cabin filter. Now working beautifully! The age of the internet is changing this mentality. I would never take my car to this repairer!

Have taken vehicles here for quotes and work on several occasions. As someone who attempts to support local business it is instances like this which make it difficult. I recently had a quote on getting something fixed and when I went to pick it up the amount had doubled from the quote. This was approximately $250 more. I will add that the car was a day late and the work would of taken no longer then the quoted 1 hour. Other issues which it was requested be quoted on were not done. The work done was fine though. I think there are better businesses to use within a short drive to Penrith. Other occasions on visits here were much the same and personally I just won't use this again.
