Shields Street Eats

The food, the service and the value are all good but not amazing. What jumps this up for me into the wow catagory is that it is located very close to the beach and next to a park, has a great atmoshpere (including an old redone truck as one of the tables), a nice deck, the option to eat in the park on thier tables, and a nice little kids corner with lego etc. All of this makes this place a great lunch or brunch stop on the weekend for the whole family, usually before or after a play at the beach. Although it is not cheap, it is cheaper than most cafes I have found that are this close to a beach.
