Went for a walk in the National Park this morning and on the way home we stopped for a coffee fix at this lovely cafe. It ended up more than coffee as we enjoyed a dessert snack too. So much for resisting temptation. Sat outside in the patio area and enjoyed seeing the sun.
My car was being looked at nearby so I popped in for a coffee as I had some time to kill. Ample seating inside and out, nice staff, good looking menu but found my coffee to be average, definitely not hot enough, lacked flavour. After reading many good reviews though, I would still give them another try.
Like meeting our friends here for coffee and cake. Olde worldly setting with a nice morning/afternoon tea selection and they also have a lunch menu. Largish seating indoors and also outdoors which is lovely on a sunny day.
Love this place.
Can't say I was overly enthused by their Indian breakfast, but it was certainly something different and I like to try different things. Next time I'm coming for the Italian
This is a good spot for a lunch or just a coffee with friends. Nice setting
Really good experience!
When trying to book I was told it was a full restaurant but if we came in at 6pm and were out for 7.30pm they could fit us in. Great!
We were seated by the wood burner fire and so were nice and comfortable on a cold night. The whole place had a really good feel and was very homely with warm lighting which added to the ambience. Our waitress was friendly and efficient in welcoming us.
The food was really delicious, tasty, piping hot, homely and comforting. Everything was reasonably priced which all added to an extremely satisfying first experience. We will definitely go back!
Bonus: it's in the Entertainment Book!
I did like the food. Did I like it any more than other places? Not really. But it did the job and that's all I ask.
The service wasn't really there. They barely said hello as we stood around looking for somewhere to sit. Didn't know if it was table service or if I had to go up to the counter, but seeing as they didn't care enough to say hello, I decided to go up as we could have been waiting forever.
The place is eclectic and they have an interesting array of songs for the breakfast period. Some of it jazz, some alternative and then some bordering on classical pop. Not sure where they were going with
Oh, and the meals were actually expensive in comparison with the same thing at other places.
Would I come again? Maybe if I had another Entertainment voucher. But otherwise, I have better places to break my fast
My girlfriend and I like to stop here for a milkshake on a hot day, but we try to avoid times when they are busy because service can be quite slow. Coffee is always good and staff are friendly.
My wife and I had a couple of quiet hours so went for a local drive and enjoyed a milkshake and coffee in this pleasant cafe. It has a nice feeling inside and out and has friendly service. Nice varied menu if looking for a meal. Good parking too.
Service was a bit slow on our recent visit, we do love their milkshakes.
I really like this cafe, so relaxing, very nice areas for dining, open fire in the winter. Their menu is varied, I would suggest you try the Gourmet Foccacia, I tried the chicken but you have a choice of ham or turkey also. It is delicious!
Great outside dining in good weather too
Another visit to the Sheoak Cafe while out and about. The mug of coffee is always good and the selection of sweet treats are mouthwatering. Light meals are available and when I have had a meal here the servings have been large and tasty. Love sitting outside on the deck in the summer time, inside in the warm in winter time (naturally). Parking available off the road which is handy too
Coffee is something this place does well. I like the atmosphere here. It's calming yet comfortable for all its patrons. It had an amazing hustle and bustle about it, like the people were all regulars and they were all seeming to be treated in the same manner.
Approximate cost: $avg
This is a friendly country style cafe
Met our friends here for a late afternoon coffee. The coffee was fine but we found out that this cafe closes at 4 pm. However we stayed another 20 minutes as other customers came in too. The early closing was a little surprising
Had lunch here the other day and was somewhat disappointed with my meal. The service was friendly, the cafe clean but did expected far more chicken in my salad than I received. Have been here a number of times for just coffee and found it great. However I must say the gluten free chocolate cake was wonderful.
Have only had coffee here, might try a meal next time.
Met our friends for coffee here this morning. Had not been here before and found it to be very pleasant. Quite busy but plenty of seating (on a week day) and no pressure to depart. In a lovely area and it has a relaxing feel about it. Good coffee and a nice country cafe. Breakfast and lunches are served here too. Pleasant menu.
They do not like kids to come around. The owner is very grumpy when kids are around and my kids are very well behaved kids. They do walk around to check the place out but look with their eyes and NOT hands and the owner still was grumpy.
Beautiful little cafe set in the hills. It has a great menu and plenty of space to sit and dine. Lunch was lovely but the best part was the choice of cakes they were so good we had to get one each to share to try what was available.
It was a birthday treat for me to be taken to this lovely little caffe in the Adelaide Hills. It was nice and sunny so the scene was set. The cafe itself is cosy with a wood fire with an extensive menu. We shared the dip plate and they were lovely. Coffee very nice too.
it has been some time since we enjoyed coffee here, looking forward to our next visit, thanks for the reminder.
