Good dumplings I have ever before, highly recommend.

This restaurant is delicious, authentic and has a homely feel. The food is affordable and is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants to revisit.

Although this place has a convenient location on the major Liverpool road it is still confused by the selection of similar places. The black bean was tender and tasty and above average. It was a big serving and enjoyed.

The service is not the best but the value is good! Have been going there for awhile now whenever we feel like having dumplings. Always yummy and filling without costing a small fortune. Easy to access as you can park inside the mall or on the street and walk over. We usually have chive dumplings with some sort of noodles- either soup or a stir fry. My favorite is the fish dumplings. :) Getting craving for dumplings thinking about them now. I think this restaurant is cheaper than the other dumpling ones in Ashfield.

This place can be confusing to find , as alot of Chinese Restaurants have the same name along busy Liverpool Road. We were here tonight for my nephews birthday dinner and we arrived before the other guests, but were seated immediately and given menu's and drinks. The kind waiter gave my kids some dumpling dough to play with, just like the chef's at the back making the dumplings by hand, fresh daily.

We ordered platefuls of dumplings - pork and coriander, fish and leek, beef and onion and chicken and leek - 18 pack for $12.80 - both steamed and fried varieties, radish cake noodles, hand made noodles, steamed chinese broccoli, sweet and sour fish, salt and pepper calamari, beef in black bean sauce. Food didn't take long to arrive. Was fresh and delicious, we all enjoyed the dumplings (best by far).

Service was friendly, quick and he spoke English (making it easier to order) as the older Lady serving us originally couldn't understand us, until the younger male waiter took over!

Would dine again! Only downside is if you don't book ( we did) you can wait up to 40 minutes for a larger seating space, but if 4 and under diners - you will be seated quicker!

This is near to my place...just few mins walk. Great food, better than any of the other chinese restaurants i have been in the Ashfield areas. The menu for dinning is with lots of variety and takeaway is also availabale.the food is simply good and reasonable.

WOW, i had my dinner at this restraunt and would love to give my review on it. The food there is delicious just as good as my mums cooking hahaha. But i've got to say, hands down this is best the best tasting food you can get in Sydney. The prices are low and very cheap and the texture of the noodles and dumplings are presented in a lovely fashion where i know i will enjoy just by looking. The customer service was excellent, very welcomming even though it seemed to be very busy. I enjoyed my meal and was very full afterwards, in total i spent around $50 and i've got to say it was totally worth it!

I think this would be my favourite of the dumplings places in Ashfield, they have more choices in the steamed dumplings than some of the other restaurants. Such good value and delicious food. The staff are friendly but the service is pretty basic, and so is the décor, but worth it for a good cheap night out.

Best shanghai food in ASHFIELD! The xiao long bao sooo YUMMY! Dumplings and wontons sooo delicious!!! I would strongly recommend you all to go try the dumplings, xio long bao and wontons as they are MY FAVOURITE!

I love this dumpling place for the best dumplings in Ashfield!! My faves are the pork and coriander or the lamb and onion. At $9 for 12 steamed dumplings - best price in Sydney.

I come here every few days and the staff are so friendly... recommend to all!

Like the dumpling, xiao long bao (steam meat bun with soup) and Shanghainese stir-fried noodles with pork strips here. The taste is just right!! very good value and the portion is big, if you like chinese dumpling, i will recommend you to give it a try!

One of my all time fave dumpling house! They are famous for their dumplings... steamed or fried. My faveourite is the pork and coriander dumplings. Best value too, 12 for $8.80! This place get's pretty busy too... love that they have staff making the dumplings fresh on site too!

If you want to go somewhere for Dim Sim. this the place to be. the restaurant provide traditional Shanghai Style fast food. we go there almost every week. and always get good service.

For value and tasty dumplings you can't go past this restaurant. If it's decor or service you're after though - this is probably not the place! Definitely worth visiting though for the food, it's super cheap so as you would expect the staff get you in and out quickly. Yum!

The food is great and cheap. The service could be better but overall it is definitly worth visiting. The restaurant could benefit with a makeover but for a quick, cheap meal it does the job!

Great value. order the dumplings steamed or deep fried they are yum and cheap! The menu offers a range of dishes, not just dumplings, as well as vegetarian options. But the service is terrible.

Have been eating there ever since I was born. The best Shanghainese food in Sydney (to me), best would be Xiao Long Bao, wonton soup and of course the Shnaghai hand made fried noodles. A very traditional style Shanghainese restaurant

the dumpling in the restaurant is delicious, hand made thinner skin and fresh soup inside. the fried bun is typical shanghai style dish and my favorite dish in that restaurant. tasty and juicy.

Arguably Ashfield's most well-known Chinese restaurant, due to its excellent prices and delicious food! I come here often for dumplings and more, and am always satisfied. It's great for a cheap meal by yourself (try a small $4.50 wonton soup maybe) and also great for big family dinners, where you can try a huge range of their dishes. Definitely recommended.

The other dumpling restaurant in Ashfield - right next door to New Shanghai, SN is easily confused with its slightly more cleaner rival. I like the dumplings here a little more (thinner skin and don't seem to break as easily) but their beef noodles are bad. Tough, chewy and dry. So I guess NS has the edge over this place since their other food is pretty good as well.
